By 2006, the property, including the rights to several brand locations in Texas, Mississippi, Crypto reels no deposit bonus codes 2020 California, Texas, Vancouver and Australia, were sold to Morgans Hotel Group for $770m.

Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, Las Vegas underwent another significant expansion amounting to $750m a year after. The meeting space was extended while its room capacity increased by another 875 rooms. The economic downturn during the global financial crisis, however, forced Morgans to surrender management rights to its partner Brookfield Asset Management in 2011. Just last year, Richard Branson acquired the property in Las Vegas intending to transform it under the Virgin Hotels Brand.

Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Punta Cana All Inclusive Hotel Amenities

Hard Rock Hotels are a group of hotels managed by globally recognized brand Hard Rock International for its live performance venues, memorable dining experience, and collectible music-related merchandise and fashion. The hotel chain started as Hard Rock Café in London in 1971 by shaggy-haired Americans Isaac Tigrett and Peter Morton London. The Seminole Tribe of Florida now owns it after a successful acquisition of its parent company in 2007. Hard Rock International’s headquarters was relocated to Davie, Florida in April 2018 from Orlando Florida. It currently operates 25 hotels, 12 casinos, and 185 cafes in 74 countries worldwide.

Among its most popular properties is the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, Las Vegas where Morton spent $80m during its opening in 1995. Another $100m was allocated for its expansion in 1999, which almost doubled the capacity of the hotel. By 2006, the property, including the rights to several brand locations in Texas, Mississippi, California, Texas, Vancouver and Australia, were sold to Morgans Hotel Group for $770m.

POP! Slots Free Codes

When the game first came out, there was an option to enter Pop Slots codes to gain free chips or coins. Manually entering these codes to get free coins was tedious. Playstudios has made this more efficient by directly placing the codes in the links above. The codes are no longer required. Just follow the instructions above to collect the Pop Slots free coins.

General Overview/ Gameplay

POP! Slots is the most recent free to play Casino game produced by Playstudios along with: myVEGAS Mobile Slots, my KONAMI Slots and Facebook myVEGAS Slots. myVEGAS Slots. POP! Slots is mobile only app that means can only be played on a mobile device, either on iOS or Android. You do need to sign in to your Facebook, being signed in allows for the synchronizing of your loyalty points across all the games, allowing you to earn and accumulate Loyalty Points across all four, that can be redeemed for real world rewards! Like all of the myVEGAS games, POP! Slots requires a constant internet connection. You also need to remember that a limited internet connection can ruin your gaming experience. POP! Slots is really well put together and is fun to play with a huge variety of slots and interesting tournaments constantly running.

The main screen or ‘lobby’ of POP! Slots can be intimidating at first glance, with so many buttons and flashing lights. The first thing to note its the lack of VIP tier, this means no VIP bonuses to be had, and are not earning VIP gems to maintain VIP status unlike other myVEGAS games.

The game is separated into individual casinos mirroring their real world Vegas counterparts. Each Casino is unlocked at different player levels, within each Casino there are three to five games you can unlock with additional player levels. When you keep leveling up, you start unlocking bonus chips for gambling as well. With each level up the maximum bet you can place also increases, which can lead to big wins (and losses).

The best feature of this game is the Communal Bonus, this balloon or ‘bubble’ can have XP, Chips or Loyalty points as a reward, so make sure to pick a game with three other players to max out this benefit. The catch is you also have to actively collect them meaning you need to pay attention or you may miss the bubble/balloon, unless you buy the autopop pack. This is the only way to earn Loyalty points as unlike the other myVEGAS games, you do not earn Loyalty Points for spinning! Instead, you get the unique opportunity to earn them for catching and popping random balloons as you play.

How to earn chips

Chips are the in-game currency, to play the game you need chips. Chips have only one purpose: to play the game. Each spin of the Slot costs a set amount of chips. If you lose they are gone, if you win you will get the winnings back in chips to spin again. There are multiple ways you can increase the amount of chips you have to betting:

  • Collecting the Daily Bonus is the biggest source of chips for many, unlike the other myVEGAS games, there are no VIP gems given.
  • Collecting the Time bonus every two hours also gives a constant influx of chips for gambling but no VIP gems.
  • Daily Email with a link to free chips, check your email daily for free chips, sometimes not redeeming for few days leads to big chips offer ones.
  • Communal bonus balloon or ‘bubble’ can have XP, Chips or Loyalty points as a reward, so make sure to pick a game with three other players to max out this benefit.
  • Tournament Participation, can be a great way to earn extra chips while earning those Loyalty Points, even if you don’t win tournament, you will receive something at the end of each one.
  • The easiest and most often overlooked way to get free chips is Collecting chips via shared links at POP Slots Free Chips

Oklahoma Casinos and Gambling

Short Summary: This page looks at the different forms of gambling in the State of Oklahoma, discusses the legality of online gambling and gives a detailed listing of all of the Commercial and Tribal casinos in the state.

Oklahoma is one of the more conservative states and there is no exception when it comes to commercial casinos. Not only does the state not legalize and regulate any commercial casinos, there is absolutely no evidence that would suggest that they intend to do so anytime in the future. With that said, there are a number of other legal forms of gambling in the state.

Charitable gambling is legal in the State of Oklahoma, but is extremely limited in scope, with the full regulations available here.

In addition to licensing fees, there is a tax imposed upon the revenues that charitable gambling generates. The most conservative aspect of the Charitable Gaming Act is that it limits the operation of the charities to live bingo games and pull tabs, the latter of which the act calls, “Break-Open Tickets”. Fortunately for the charities, unlike a few other states, there doesn’t seem to be much in the way of limitations as to when such games can operate.

While there are no Commercial Casinos in the state, Oklahoma is home to a good many Tribal Casinos that operate by way of compact. Both Class II (Electronic Bingo) and Class III games (regular slot machines) are permitted, and both can be found within the state, but there is an incentive to have as many Class II games as possible because the Class III machines are taxed at a rate of 6% of all revenues. It’s not called a tax, though, but rather an, “Exclusivity Fee,” which essentially means the state agrees not to compete with the Tribes by legalizing Commercial Casinos.

The State of Oklahoma is also home to a fairly active racing industry and allows for both live pari-mutuel betting as well as simulcast betting.

The most recent publicly available Oklahoma Lottery Annual Report consists of the Fiscal Year concluded in July of 2018 and can be found here.

Total lottery sales termed, “Gaming Revenues,” amounted to $221,110,396 compared to a total of $129,610,748 paid out in prizes which results in a total return to players of about 58.62%, which is kind of on the low-average end of things as far as state lotteries go. One would imagine that this is due to a high percentage of sales being drawing-type games, but we will see if that pans out as we move on.

A few pages down, we see that, “Scratcher Games,” (Instant Tickets) made up $127,627,940 of the total lottery sales which represents about 57.7% of all lottery sales. The total prize payouts from these games would come out to $82,793,686 for the Fiscal Year, so the return on scratchers was about 64.87%, which is about average for instant tickets. The overall low lottery return, therefore, attributable to a high percentage (43,3 %) coming from drawing type games.

In total, $93,482,456 in lottery sales came from drawing games, which would include the national major jackpot Mega Millions and Powerball games. In total, $46,637,062 was returned to the players in the form of prizes, representing a total return of 49.89% return to player which is probably about average for drawing game returns.

The total gross profit for the lottery on sales of $91,499,648 represents approximately $23.21/resident based on a population of 3.93 million. Given this low profit per resident, I guess that we can make two conclusions:

1.) Some residents of Oklahoma are very intelligent and do not play awful state lottery games.

2.) Given the extremely rural nature of much of the state, there probably isn’t easy access to lottery retailers for a significant percentage of the state’s populace. Ironically, the lottery’s own Annual Report points out that revenues might improve if the returns to player didn’t suck as badly as they do.

Online Gambling In Oklahoma

The state does not currently legalize and regulate any form of online gambling and likely never will for a few different reasons. The first and most obvious reason is that it would technically put the state in competition with the tribes, which would enable the tribes to not only operate their own online casinos, but would also negate the 6.00% Exclusivity Revenues on Class III machines as the tribes would no longer have exclusivity and would no longer have to pay the fee.

The second reason is because Oklahoma is not a particularly well-populated state, so the customer base for any online casinos would be rather small, especially if limited to operating just in that state. Furthermore, because there are no land casinos in the state, there is, therefore, no land commercial casino to tie an online gaming site to, which seems to be a requirement in most of the states (if not all) to have legalized commercial online gambling for operators.

The third and final reason is that, in addition to a limited population, there just doesn’t seem to be a huge interest in gambling in the state. As we have already identified, on a per resident basis, the Oklahoma Lottery is one of the worst-performing states in terms of revenues. This probably comes from a combination of Oklahomans being satisfied with Tribal Casinos and Bingo combined with a general lack of interest in gambling.

With that said, any engagement in unauthorized forms of gambling within the state is technically an illegal activity that can result in a fine of $25-$100, 1-30 days in jail, or both. With that said, though, there is no evidence that anyone has ever been prosecuted for playing online from his or her own home in the context of just being a player rather than an operator.

Land Casinos In Oklahoma

For this section, we will tackle the Tribal Casinos first and then take a look at the different racetracks so that anyone coming to the state (or residents) can be aware of all of their gambling options. Once again, the Tribal Casinos operate both Class II and Class III machines, so any machine counts published will include both of these things, though some of them will be electronic bingo (Class II) games. If any of the websites or information we can gather differentiates counts between the two, we will do our best to identify that.

7 Clans First Council Casinos

The Seven Clans First Council Casinos is not actually a collaboration of seven different tribes. In fact, let’s get a breakdown of this company in their own words:

7 Clans Casinos are entities owned and operated by the Otoe-Missouria Development Authority (OMDA), the official enterprise and economic branch of the Otoe-Missouria Tribe of Indians.

The OMDA was developed in 2006, with a goal of serving tribal members by developing revenue sources.

Paradise Casino opened in May 2000, followed by First Council Casino & Hotel in March 2008. Each is home to exciting gaming, dining, and entertainment.

First Council is located in Newkirk, OK, just south of the Kansas/Oklahoma border, 30 minutes north of Ponca City.

Paradise Casino is 10 minutes from Ponca City, 20 minutes from Stillwater, 30 minutes from Perry and 45 minutes from Enid. The Chilocco Gasino and Red Rock Gasino are smaller casino properties that include electronic games and service stations.

Perry Casino is located in the town of Perry, Oklahoma and opened in early April of 2016.

Without further ado, we will now list the Seven Clans Casinos as well as some specifics on them:

Seven Clans First Council Casino and Resort

The Seven Clans First Council Casino and Resort is one of the larger casinos in Oklahoma and is located in the city of Newkirk. This hotel casino property features not only a combined 146 guestrooms and suites, but is also home to a brand new indoor waterpark, so win or lose on the machines, bringing the kids for a stay is definitely a winning proposition!

Hotel amenities in addition to the waterpark access include free guest wireless internet as well as a fitness center. The property proudly says that the advertised rate is the advertised rate and they will not charge any resort fees ever. Kudos to them certainly for the fact that they do not charge them now, but there have certainly been other properties that claimed they were never going to and ended up doing so on down the line. Let’s hope that this Newkirk location does not become one of them.

In terms of gaming offerings, the Seven Clans First Council Casino and Resort proudly offers a combination of Class II and Class III video poker, video keno and slots games totaling 2,000 electronic gaming devices. This is also one of the two casinos with live table games, including Blackjack, Craps Roulette and Ultimate Texas Hold ‘Em. The craps table at this casino is closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, so plan accordingly if you’re a dedicated dice enthusiast.

Another nice aspect of this property is that where many would offer the indoor waterpark to the public for a fee, this particular location makes it exclusive for hotel guests, so that’s awesome because it’s never going to get too busy.

We are officially going to become the easiest website to determine what eateries are at what Seven Clans Casinos. The Seven Clans website is absolutely putrid in this regard as the individual viewing it has to open a new page for each restaurant just to see what casino it belongs to. For one reason or another, these pages also do not load particularly fast because each tends to have a menu on it.

Our advice to them is to do what the other casino sites do and have a page that simply lists the restaurants by location and then include links to the individual restaurant pages for those who want to follow them.

Eateries include the Flatwater Bar and Grill, which is essentially a casual location. The Pi Danna Ke Snack Bar is your grab and go place for this location for sandwiches and other quick eats. Buffy’s Cafe is another casual eatery for this property and is located in the hotel lobby. The Beaver Bar and Casino is not a casino in its own right, but rather, it’s a restaurant overlooking the indoor waterpark that features 120 machines as well as a pub-type menu. I guess that’s the place to go if you want to drink and gamble while kinda sorta watching the kids. Hopefully, the waterpark has lifeguards. Hooty Hoo Snack Shack is another grab and go place and this one is actually located in the waterpark. The Bear’s Brewing Den is the property’s coffee shop and is also located in the hotel lobby. Icy Bites is another snack shop at the waterpark that does what it says on the box, frozen treats.

Entertainment takes place at The Seven Clans Event Center and has a number of different regionally and nationally known acts with upcoming events available on their website.

In terms of gaming offerings, the Seven Clans First Council Casino has more than many and less than some, so if that is your main priority and you’re only ever going to visit one casino in Oklahoma, you could do better. The main draw for this property, bottom line, is that indoor waterpark and the plethora of dining options that are available. If you’re traveling with ankle-biters in tow, this is easily going to be amongst your shortlist of options if you need to spend a weekend in this general area of Oklahoma. If not and you’re just kind of driving through, we still highly recommend stopping in and bedding down for the night.

Seven Clans Chilocco Casino

The Seven Clans Chilocco Casino is located in a town of the same name and is a much smaller location than is the First Council. This property simply features a total of roughly 300 slot machines as well as a travel plaza with a little grab and go food mart. Additionally, the property is home to a bar called Silhouette Bar.

Seven Clans Paradise Casino

Paradise, Nevada, this is not. With that out of the way, the Seven Nations Paradise Casino does have a little bit to offer, primarily the 350 total gaming devices. There are no table games at this property, however it is home to a restaurant known as the Lucky 7’s Diner that serves casual American grub. Additionally, this location is (surprisingly) also home to the 7C Steakhouse, a fine dining establishment at which reservations are not required, though strongly recommended. It’s definitely unusual for a fine dining establishment to appear at such a small casino, but there you have it.

In addition to those eateries, the Paradise Bar is also the place for cocktails, beers and other libations. Finally, the property is home to a few table games including Craps and Blackjack.

If you happen to be passing through the Red Rock (the town where this is located) area, then it might be worth a stop if you’re able to get a table at the steakhouse. There’s no hotel here, but there are plenty nearby.

Seven Clans Perry Casino

This is the Severn Clans’ newest property and is located in the town of Perry, Oklahoma. This property features about 230 electronic gaming devices including slots, video poker and video keno. Additionally, this property is home to a small cafe, a bar and a tobacco shop that also has drive through service.

If you’re in the Perry area, maybe check it out, but it’s basically just an overgrown slots parlor with a little restaurant. The restaurant, by the way, is simply known as Perry Cafe.

Seven Clans Red Rock Casino

The Seven Clans Red Rock Casino can hardly even be called that given that it only features 95 gaming machines. There’s really not much to distinguish this from a slots parlor. With that said, the establishment at least features a little deli area that serves breakfast, lunch and dinner seven days per week. If that’s not enough excitement for you, check out the attached convenience store!

Artesian Hotel Casino Spa

While not Chickasaw branded, the Artesian Hotel Casino and Spa is in fact owned by the Chickasaw Tribe. The property is located in Sulphur, Oklahoma and is an extremely elegant hotel, so much so that the property’s website leads with that as opposed to the casino component of the property.

This property features a full (pay) spa as well as steam baths and whirlpools. Additionally, massage services are available. Beyond that, there is a fitness center with locker room access available for guests. The property also features indoor and outdoor pools as well as a children’s spa, whatever that means.

The fine dining establishment at this property is known as The Springs at the Artesian. The Bedre Cafe is a bit more casual and the lounge proper is called The Fountain Club.

How much are the rooms? We’re guessing you don’t want to know. If you wish to book one of the 95 rooms this property has to offer, then they wish for you to call and find out the price. It’s almost certainly going to be a pretty large number.

The casino floor is open 24/7 and consists of just over 300 electronic gaming machines, both Class II and Class III video poker, full house poker que es slots and video keno. Additionally, there are a grand total of three gaming tables available with the games consisting of Ultimate Texas Hold Em and Blackjack.

It’s really tough to recommend this property, because if it’s on your shortlist, you’re almost certainly not going there for the casino offerings. The site’s pay me well to write, no doubt about it, but even if I were a millionaire I wouldn’t be willing to pay what this place is probably going to be asking for a night. Unfortunately, that really doesn’t put me in a position to make a recommendation other than the old adage, “If you have to ask, then you probably can’t afford it.” Guess what? I can’t afford it.

Ada Gaming Center

The Ada Gaming Center is the first casino enterprise owned and operated by the Chickasaw Nation and is located in Ada, Oklahoma. When it comes to size, this property is comparable to an overgrown slots parlor as it consists of just over 9,000 square feet of gambling space. In other words, your average retail grocery store is going to be larger than this place.

The property features a bar known as The Traditions Bar as well as a grill known as the Double Down Grill. In addition to the 330 combined machines, there are several gaming tables at which Blackjack and Ultimate Texas Hold ‘Em is spread. In addition to these games, the property features a live bingo game known as Mega Frenzy Bingo.

Black Gold Casino

Black Gold Casino is a casino owned and operated by the Chickasaw Tribe, though not specifically branded as such, and is located in Wilson, Oklahoma. The property is affiliated with the Wildcatters players club and consists of roughly 200 electronic gaming device and that’s it. Pretty much just a big slot parlor.

Black Hawk Casino

The Black Hawk Casino is owned by Sac and Fox Nation and is located in Shawnee, Oklahoma. The property is on the smaller end of the state’s casinos, but certainly not the smallest. It does have a few table games which, as of the time of this writing, consist entirely of Blackjack and Ultimate Texas Hold ‘Em, but if you’re passing through Shawnee and want to get off the road for a bit, then you know where to go. Table games run from 4:00p.m. to midfnight seven days per week.

Beyond that, their website does not give a specific machine count, so we called to get a specific machine count, but the phone systems kept saying that the call was unable to be transferred. Oh well. They have a non-zero number of machines, in any case.

The One River Restaurant is a casual American style place that serves both lunch and dinner and represents the only eatery at this property.

It’s just a little nondescript building that has some machines, a few tables and a little restaurant. If you were driving by and the building had no signage, it could be mistaken for a bowling alley. There’s no harm in making a quick stop if you happen to be passing through and just want to get off the road for a bit, though.

Border Casino

The Border Casino is located in Thackerville, Oklahoma and is owned and operated by the Chickasaw Nation, though the same is not specifically reflected in the branding.

This casino is surprisingly sizeable consisting of nearly 90,000 square feet of gaming space. In addition to it, they have the machine count to boot with more than 2300 Class II and Class III gaming devices consisting of video poker, video keno and slot machines.

From what we can tell from this map.

The gaming floor is sectioned off into a few different areas that also includes a high limit room as well as an area for another BrixLive Blackjack set of machines, which we discuss more thoroughly elsewhere on this page, so look for that if you’re interested. Some of these little areas might be other restaurants or bars, but their site doesn’t see fit to go into any detail on any of that. It also has an area labeled, “Hotel,” but again, their website does not otherwise mention having a hotel.

Given the machine count, this casino almost certainly has more offerings than those that are specifically mentioned on their website, but if they don’t care to go into details, then why should we? We’re certainly not making any extra money by doing their job for them.

Bordertown Casino and Arena

This WAS a casino located in Wyandotte, Oklahoma, but it closed its doors in December of 2019. The property was owned by the Eastern Shawnee Tribe, who also owns the Indigo Sky Casino and likely closed this one because they were essentially competing with themselves. In fact, where space was available, reports mentioned that a few of the gaming apparatus from this property would be transferred over to Indigo Sky.

Bordertown Outpost

Bordertown Outpost was previously a travel center owned by the Eastern Shawnee Tribe who relocated it and rebranded it as Outpost Casino. In effect, this property no longer exists as such and we therefore direct you to check out the Outpost Casino listing further on down this page.

Buffalo Run Casino

Owned and operated by the Peoria Tribe of Indians, the Buffalo Run Casino is located in Miami, Oklahoma. The property features a hotel consisting of 96 combined guestrooms and suites.

Hotel amenities include wireless internet access, an exercise room, an indoor pool and a business center with computer access. Fortunately, resort fees do not seem to have spread to this casino in Oklahoma yet as the only fee over and above the room rate is a small tax amount of about 3%. In addition to the hotel amenities, the overall property is also home to a golf course.

The casino floor features a combined 650 games, with a full list available here on their website.

Based on the list, we would conclude that there is a mix of Class II and Class III gaming devices at this location, but it is very difficult to even guess at how many of each.

Table games at the property include Craps, Roulette, Blackjack (with a few variations), Ultimate Three-Card Poker, Ultimate Texas Hold ‘Em and Deuces Joker Wild Stud Poker. The site does not list a total number of tables, and as always, we recommend calling ahead of time for the general operating hours if you have a particular carnival game in mind.

The Coleman House is the property’s fine dining establishment for which reservations are very much recommended. Interestingly enough, this supposed fine dining restaurant is also home to the casino’s lunch buffet so that’s kind of counterintuitive. The Bistro features economical breakfast choices in the morning and is mostly a pizza spot later on in the day. Joe’s BBQ has some quality BBQ food and sandwiches at economical prices.

The Peoria Showplace and Outdoor Amphitheatre regularly has known national acts come in with a schedule available on their website. The Trailer Park Bar and Grill (why not) is open on weekends and sometimes features live bands or karaoke.

Overall, this property offers enough that it should be a pretty good place to kill a weekend if you’re not coming from too far away. It’s also almost certainly worth a stop if you’re just passing through the area, particularly to give Joe’s BBQ a try if nothing else.

Casino Oklahoma

The Casino Oklahoma is located in Hinton, Oklahoma and is another property that is owned and operated by the Chickasaw Nation, though not branded as a Chickasaw Casino property. We’re not exactly sure why some are branded that way and not others, but differentiation is always a good thing. Maybe someone can give that message to Hollywood Casinos.

The property features one eatery which is known as the Red Dirt Roadhouse. There is a full menu available on their website. The property’s website doesn’t speak to machine count, so we called and were told that there are roughly 350 electronic gaming devices of various sorts. There are no table games to speak of at this property, in terms of live dealer games, but we were informed that there is an electronic blackjack game.

There you go, it’s basically a slot house with a restaurant, so if you’re passing through Hinton, maybe give it a look.

Catoosa Smoke Shop 777

This is located in Catoosa, Oklahoma and may have once been called that, but it is now called the Hard Rock Smoke Shop. The Hard Rock Hotel and Casino Tulsa is also actually located in Catoosa, so this is obviously affiliated with that much larger property.

Cimarron Casino

The Cimarron Casino is a casino owned by the Iowa Tribe of Oklahoma and is located in the town of Perkins, Oklahoma. This property features a total of about 600 electronic gaming devices, both Class II and Class III video poker, video keno and slot machines.

In addition to the machines, there are some live tables and a poker table located on the property. The games that are available here include:

  • WPT Head’s Up Hold’em
  • Three Card Prime
  • Four Card Frenzy
  • 2 deck and 6 deck Blackjack
  • Live Poker table

The property features two eateries including the Eagles Nest Cafe as well as the 4th Quarter Sports Bar. Both of these are casual dining establishments.

Basically, this place is a little micro-casino, but if you happen to be around Perkins and want to hit up a few table games, this might be a good stop for you. Naturally, it’s mostly going to be geared towards locals.

Cimarron Bend Casino

This is a micro-casino also owned by the Iowa Tribe of Oklahoma and is located in a town called Coyle. This casino does not even have a website, in fact, but rather a Facebook page. The property is open from 11:00a.m. to 11:00p.m. and is nothing more than a little slots parlor. According to their Facebook page, the property just consists of forty electronic gaming devices.

Cherokee Casino Will Rogers Downs

Cherokee Casino and Will Rogers Downs is a combination casino and thoroughbred racing horse track that is located in Rogers County, Oklahoma and is owned and operated by Cherokee Nation. An interesting component of this property is that it is one of the few times that you will see a Tribal Casino also own and operate a racing facility, but here you go.

The track consists of one mile.

The property is not home to a hotel, but it is home to the largest RV Park in the entire State of Oklahoma and there are some hotels nearby. The property does not include a specific machine count on their website, but we put it at somewhere between 200-300 total gaming devices including both Class II and Class III machines.

The only dining establishment at this property is a casual restaurant known as the Dog Iron Grill.

Live racing takes place from March-May as well as September-November.

If you’re not into horse racing and are not a local, then it’s really tough to identify any reason to stop here as it essentially amounts to an oversized slots parlor. It’s definitely a place geared mostly towards locals, horse racing fans and RV travelers pretty exclusively.

Cash Springs Gaming Center

This casino basically amounts to a convenience store and tobacco shop that is also an overgrown slots parlor featuring something around 100 machines. It is located in Sulphur, Oklahoma and does not even have a website or Facebook page, so that should tell you something.

Cherokee Casino Fort Gibson

The Cherokee Casino in Fort Gibson, Oklahoma, is going to be one of many casinos in the state that are simply branded as, “Cherokee Casino.” With that said, there is going to be some degree of differentiation in the size and offerings of these properties from one to another, so for that reason, we are going to list them all.

For one thing, Black diamond slots free coins three of the Cherokee Casino locations have hotels, though this is not one of them.

The casino page for this location does not list a machine count, so we called and were informed that there are about 420 machines inclusive of both Class II and Class III devices, with some of the machines being Class III video poker games. The property does not have any table games, bingo or any other form of gambling outside of the machines.

The Three Rivers Tavern is the property’s only restaurant and consists of American fare with an emphasis on burgers and other sandwiches. It is open daily.

The property is also home to a bar that features live musical entertainment on most Friday and Saturday nights.

As with so many places, this is mainly just a hangout place for locals and is something that exists somewhere between an oversized slots parlor and a micro-casino. We can’t imagine any reason to go out of your way to stop there, but if you happen to be passing through, no reason not to give it a look.

Cherokee Casino Grove

Cherokee Casino Grove is another one of their properties with this one located in a town simply known as Grove. This is another of the Cherokee Casino properties that trends on the smaller side and lacks a hotel. The property features a combined 400 Class II and Class III slot, video keno and video poker devices.

Grove Springs is the property’s casual little restaurant that serves all three meals and is open daily. The property’s bar is the 1897 Bar and features live entertainment every weekend.

Again, just a large scale slots parlor, little restaurant and locals hangout type place. If you happen to be in a little place called Grove and don’t have anything in particular to do, maybe give it a look see.

Cherokee Casino Ramona

The Cherokee Casino Ramona is, again, in a little town by the same name. This is another of the Cherokee properties that does not feature a hotel. This property features a combined 450 slots, video poker and video keno games, presumably a mix of Class II and Class III devices.

The Ramona Grill is a small little casual restaurant that serves lunch and dinner and has a combination of American and Tex-Mex offerings. The Watering Hole is the property’s bar that features live entertainment on the weekends.

The same thing we said about the casino above, just put that here as it’s the same sort of place. If you’re around, might as well check it out. As they say, “When you’re in Ramona, do as the Ramonans do.” (They probably don’t say that.)

Cherokee Casino Roland

The Cherokee Casino in Roland is one of the larger Cherokee Casino branded properties as well as being one of the three to feature a hotel. The casino floor features a combined 900 video slot, video poker and video poker games ranging in denomination from pennies to $25/credit. The property is also home to a few gaming tables that spread Blackjack, Ultimate Texas Hold ‘Em and Three Card Poker.

The property features two extremely straightforward dining options. Straightforward how? Well, the property’s buffet is called The Buffet and the grab and go place is called Grab and Go, you can’t get much more to the point than that.

The Lee Creek Tavern is the property’s bar featuring live entertainment every weekend. On occasion, better known regional acts will occasionally visit the casino and there is a schedule of such events promoted on their website.

The hotel consists of 120 guestrooms and suites and amenities include wireless internet access, a business center with computer access and an outdoor pool including a hot tub.

Overall, this casino is nothing that is worth going way out of the way for, but is definitely worth considering for an overnight stay if you happen to be passing through the area. It essentially amounts to a small and friendly place meant mainly for locals, but the hotel rates seem to compare reasonably to other hotels in the area, so maybe take a look if you’re around there.

Cherokee Casino Sallisaw

The Cherokee Casino location is located in Sallisaw, Oklahoma and is not one of the locations that is home to a hotel. This casino is a small place that amounts basically to an overgrown slots parlor and consists of 250 combined Class II and Class III games including slots, video poker and video keno.

However, there is another form of gambling available at Sallisaw in the form of an off-track betting room consisting of ten big screen TV’s as well as 20 individual viewing areas for you to make your simulcast wagers, if you are so inclined. Hours for this are available on the website.

The property’s restaurant is known as the Back 40 Bar and Grill and features casual American-style dining. Though independent, it’s pretty similar to an Applebee’s, Garfield’s or something along those lines.

The Back 40 Bar and Grill is also the place for entertainment featuring various types of live music Friday and Saturday nights.

This place is pretty much exclusively for locals and does not have any table gaming. However, if you’re looking for a place to eat and like to play the machines while in the area of Sallisaw, it might not be a bad stop.

Cherokee Casino South Coffeyville

Cherokee Casino South Coffeyville is another Cherokee Casino branded property that does not feature a hotel of its own and mainly exists as an oversized slot parlor. The slot floor of this casino features a combined 300 Class II and Class III video poker, video keno and slot machines. Their websites claims that some of the jackpots get up into the millions, so my best guess is that some of the Native American casinos have a linked multi-property jackpot situation going on, or maybe they have Megabucks machines, or something.

I guess if you want an almost zero chance of winning a million bucks as opposed to a zero chance it’s an okay place to go, but players should keep in mind that those sorts of machines tend to have the lowest base returns aside from the jackpot itself. They often pay in the low 80%’s. Think about it: No way am I going to give you a shot at a million bucks unless I’m taking a large chunk out of every single spin (on average) that’s not a million dollar winner.

The eatery for this joint is known simply as The Bar and Grill, and if they do have any entertainment, they presently don’t see fit to promote it on their website.

Again, if you happen to be in South Coffeyville and are looking for something to do, why not go mingle with the locals at Cherokee Casino for a bit?

Cherokee Casino Tahlequah

The Cherokee Casino located in Tahlequah is another one of their non-hotel properties. This particular location features approximately 400 combined Class II and/or Class III video kneo, slot and video poker games. Aside from the machines, no other form of gambling is available at this location.

Despite the small size, this property is home to both a fine dining establishment, The White Wolf Steakhouse as well as a casual location called the River City Cafe. Though the steakhouse is for fine dining, it is open seven days a week, including for lunchtime hours.

The Ancient Oak Tavern is the property’s bar and features live musical entertainment on Friday and Saturday nights.

This one is another location that’s basically an oversized slot parlor, though it is somewhat unique for a place of this size to have multiple dining options. Though meant for locals, maybe stop and check it out if you’re going to be passing through that area and need to stop to eat anyway.

Cherokee Casino West Siloam Springs

The Cherokee Casino in West Siloam Springs is one of their larger properties as well as being one of the three to feature a hotel on the property. The hotel features 140 rooms, which includes seven suites and rooms include a refrigerator and coffeemaker. Wireless internet access is available for all guests, and aside from that, there’s not much in the way of amenities to speak of.

The actual hotel sits a bit behind the casino and looks pretty similar to something like a Super 8, the rooms and amenities are comparable to those of a relatively nice economy hotel.

There are 18 gaming tables at the property which include Blackjack, Roulette, Craps, Ultimate Texas Hold ‘Em, Mississippi Stud and Free Bet Blackjack. Not all of these games are going to operate around the clock, so we strongly advise calling ahead and getting the usual operating hours for your game of choice.

Their website does not list an exact machine count at this time, so we called the property and were told, “There are over 100 machines, I believe.” GIven the size of this property (much larger) compared to the other Cherokee Casinos as well as the fact that it has a 140 room hotel, we think it’s safe to guess that there are significantly more than 100 machines, but we can only put what we are told.

There is a live poker room at this property that spreads Texas Hold ‘Em, Omaha and Seven Card Stud. As with table games, it’s tough to assume that anything operates during all continuous hours except for Texas Hold ‘Em, so we would recommend calling and asking about when you could expect the other two games to be taking place.

The property is also home to a tobacco shop.

This property does feature a buffet called the River Cane Buffet as well as a casual diner called the River Cane Cafe. The Sweet Treats Coffee Shop is also available for coffee drinks, desserts and grab and go items. There is a fine dining establishment on this property, Flint Creek Steakhouse, which is open in the evenings seven days per week.

The property’s bar is called Seven and features free live entertainment Thursday-Saturday nights. Additionally, the property is home to a ballroom called Qualla Ballroom that occasionally features more well-known acts with a schedule available on their website.

While this is far from being a destination casino, it might be worth a stop if you happen to be going through Oklahoma anyway. There are a few dining options and free musical entertainment is always good. By Oklahoma casino standards, the table games selection is reasonably good and they are also one of the few casinos in the state to feature live poker.

And, again, there are almost certainly more than 100 machines.

Chisholm Trail Casino

The Chisholm Trail Casino is a property that consists of 22,000 square feet of gambling space and is owned and operated by the Chickasaw Nation. While there is a place called the Chisholm Trail, it is a historic landmark and the name of the city in which the property is located is Duncan, Oklahoma.

What I really like is that it terms itself, “Duncan’s best gambling destination,” on its website, but I think there’s a really good chance that might be true by default. In any event, Duncan’s best gambling destination has over 600 combined Class II and Class III video poker, slots and video keno games. This is right around the cusp of what I would consider to be a really small casino as opposed to just an overgrown slots parlor.

Some listings sites and Wikipedia would have it that this casino has a small table games pit, but we have called the casino and determined that is not the case. In fact, the closest thing to a table game at this location is something called BrixLive Blackjack, and we are going to copy and paste the rules here, because this is the first time this writer has ever seen anything like this.

BrixLive (Blackjack) is a table game which allows Patrons to wager via a touchscreen tablet directly against the live streaming Dealer (player pool), by playing their hand(s) against the Dealer (player pool). A Patron’s hand consists of two original cards with the option to stand or draw additional cards in an attempt to improve its value. The Dealer’s (player’s pool) hand also begins with two original cards, but is forced to draw until a total value of seventeen or higher is reached.

The hand that is closest to twenty-one without going over wins. If any hand draws to a value that exceeds twenty-one, that hand is said to be “too many” and is an automatic loser. Winning hands are paid even money.

A Blackjack (natural 21) pays 3 to 2, Insurance pays 2 to 1 and all other winning wagers pay 1 to 1.

Double down is allowed on the first two cards. The double down wager amount must be equal to or less than the amount of the player’s original wager. Only one additional card will be dealt when a player doubles down. Players may double down on blackjack.

Pairs may be split one time for a total of two hands. Players may Double Down after split (except on split Aces).

Split Aces will receive only one card on each Ace.

Wagers may not be altered after the round of play has begun.

Each player is responsible for knowing the total of their hand.

Side betting between and against players is strictly prohibited.

Participation in the game is gained via the gaming terminals.

Players will place a wager, along with an ante to enter the game.

The manner in which BrixLive will be dealt is at the discretion of the Chickasaw Nation.

Each player will have the right to make an insurance wager up to half of their original wager whenever the dealer’s up card is an Ace. All winning Insurance wagers will be paid at odds of 2 to 1, the original wager will be lost if the insurance wager is won.

An even money option, when player has blackjack and dealer has an Ace, is available when the dealer offers Insurance. Even money is paid at odds of 1 to 1.

All decks of cards used in play will be a standard “52” card deck (barcoded).

BrixLive may be played with six or eight decks.

The value of the cards contained in each deck will be as follows:

Any card from 2 to 10 will have its face value.

Any Jack, Queen or King will have a value of 10.

An Ace may have a designated value of either 1 or 11, depending on the count of the player or the dealer. If the value of the Ace would give a player or the dealer a score in excess of 21, it will have a value of 1.

A player may elect to draw additional cards whenever his/her hand total is 21 or less.

All Title 31 and Currency Transaction Reporting (CTRC) requirements will follow the general guidelines and requirements set forth from The Chickasaw Nation Department of Commerce.

All game irregularities/disputes will be handled by management and at the discretion of the Chickasaw Nation.

In the case a dispute cannot be resolved by facility management, the player may invoke their right that exists under law to request that the Chickasaw Nation Office of the Gaming Commissioner conduct an investigation into their prize claim. Management will immediately notify the Chickasaw Nation Office of the Gaming Commissioner.

Okay, so this one is interesting because of the multiple references made to the, “Player Pool,” which would indicate that it operates as a Class II device, and would be the first Class II electronic table game device this writer has ever heard of. In any event, “Player pools,” as relate Class II machines usually have something to do with Electronic Bingo, so the player pool is seeded with some amount of money and then the spin is sent to some centralized computer that comes back with one of the results from the result set. The result from the result set is communicated to the machine (all of this happens almost instantly, but sometimes there are slight delays) and then the machine shows the player a spin (and win or loss) that corresponds to that chosen from the result communicated by the central server.

While this is apparently a Class II game, the operation is entirely different. Apparently, there is an actual physical dealer who is located elsewhere, but the results of the game are considered as coming from a player pool.

In any event, 3:2 on naturals, ability to double down on splits, the rules for this Blackjack game are not the worst in the world and are actually better than many electronic blackjack devices, particularly bartop machines which, amongst other things, occasionally only pay even money on a winning player natural.

The Aces Sports Grill is a full service casual restaurant and sports bar that is open daily. If this location features any live entertainment, they do not see to mention it on the site.

If I was in the area, then I would likely stop by just to check out what this Blackjack machine is about. I doubt that I would play it, but seeing the thing in action could be interesting. Aside from that, this casino is basically going to amount to a little place that is mostly meant for locals, but if you happen to be in the area, it wouldn’t hurt to stop by and New casino near portland maine take a peek.

Choctaw Casinos

Much like the Cherokee Casinos, there are a number of casinos throughout the state branded, “Choctaw Casino,” though all are different places and they vary in size and scope from one another. We will detail them more fully below:

Choctaw Casino Broken Bow

The first casino that we will cover is the Choctaw Casino Broken Bow, which is located in a town called Durant, Oklahoma. This is one of the more sizeable casinos in the state, not that such says a ton, and has somewhat varied gaming offerings.

Their site simply says that they have, “Hundreds,” of slot machines which would include Class II and Class III video poker, video keno and slot machines. Denominations are stated as ranging from pennies on the low end to $5/spin on the higher end. That’s somewhat confusing, however, because there are any number of machines in that range which are technically of a denomination $5 and lower, but can cost more than $5 for a max bet spin.

With no specific machine count listed on their website, but other information leading us to believe that this joint is bigger than some of the casinos in the state, we gave them a call and were told that they have just south of 700 total gaming machines.

In addition to the machines, the property also features a handful of gaming tables spreading such games as Blackjack, Three Card Poker and Heads Up Hold ‘Em. While we understand that ios not exactly diversity compared to monolithic resort casinos, it does compare favorably to many casinos that we have already discussed that are basically slot houses with no table games whatsoever.

This is not one of the properties with a hotel, though there are hotels in the area.

We will only address this for this Choctaw Casino listing, but all Choctaw Casino properties are home to a players club called Choctaw Rewards, which is already in place. As of the time of this writing, the Cherokee branded Casinos are working on a similar players club, but have not rolled any such out yet. It will be coming anytime.

Entertainment at this casino aside from the gambling seems to take place exclusively at the Oak Tree Lounge and can consist of anything from live bands to UFC fights with a schedule available on their website. Entertainment usually takes place on Saturdays early in the year, but may also happen other days of the week if the Summer season tends to be busier for them.

The Reel ‘Em In Cafe is the property’s eatery and is essentially just a casual food joint that is open during lunch and dinner hours.

Overall, the Choctaw Casino Broken Bow is essentially a little casino mainly meant for locals, but they do have a few table games, so if any of the offerings interest you, then you might want to stop by and look around if you happen to be in the area. The people (based on the phone call to get information) certainly seem friendly there.

Choctaw Casino Hotel Durant

The Choctaw Casino Hotel in Durant will be the first Choctaw Casino listing that features a hotel on the property, and unsurprisingly, is located in Durant, Oklahoma. This casino is easily one of the largest in the state as it features a combined 4,300 Class II and Class III video poker, video keno and slot machines.

There are a number of gaming tables at this casino featuring a wide assortment of games, including:

  • Blackjack
  • Blazing 777 Blackjack Progressive
  • Bonus Craps
  • Craps
  • Dai Baccarat
  • Dragon Bonus Baccarat
  • Emperor’s Challenging Pai Gow
  • EZ Baccarat
  • Free Bet Blackjack
  • Let It Ride
  • Roulette
  • Three Card Poker
  • Ultimate Texas Hold ‘Em
  • WPT Heads-Up Hold ‘Em

As always, if you’re looking to play one of the novelty/carnival type games, then we recommend calling in advance to determine what days and times your game of choice tends to operate. TO wit, you’re probably not usually going to find a Let it Ride table open at one in the morning on a Monday.

The poker room is well appointed and is separated from the hustle and bustle of the casino, so that gives the players the opportunity to concentrate on their cards. It consists of 26 tables and features regular tournaments and promotions with schedules for same available on their website. Without a doubt, this poker room is going to be one of the largest in the state and is worth checking out if that is your game of choice.

For those of you who enjoy both poker and simulcast wagering, you’re in luck! The racebook also happens to be located in the poker room and features televised races from eighteen tracks across the country. If you need a break from the tables and have a feeling about a certain pony, then stretch your legs and go over and pick it!

The property features some regional and national acts from time to time with a schedule available on their website. Additionally, live entertainment occasionally takes place at Gilley’s, mostly on weekends, with a schedule of events in the near future also appearing on the same page.

The fine dining option for this property is the 1832 Steakhouse. It kind of makes me curious to know what happened in 1832, but I think it would be more fun to find out by asking someone, so I will wait until I visit this property and ask directly. Gilley’s, as mentioned earlier, is kind of a sports bar type location that serves the food that you would expect. The casino is home to a buffet that is known as Butterfield’s Buffet. The Grand Cafe is a little casual place most notable for American style eats and some sandwiches. Bamboo Noodle Bar and Smashburger both do what they say on the box. B3 Brews Brats and Bologna features sandwich and quick eats type stuff, though they consider it a casual restaurant. The coffee and dessert shop is known as Jackpot Java.

The property is also home to a small food court that features eateries such as Krispy Krunchy Chicken, and interestingly enough, a Papa John’s Pizza location. There is no way that I would go into a casino with all of these unique options and grab a Papa John’s Pizza, but to each their own.

In addition to the eateries and Gilley’s, which has been mentioned, there are five other bars scattered here and there around the casino floor and elsewhere on the property, so if you want a drink, you shouldn’t have any trouble finding one.

This property actually features two hotel towers and the more cozy Choctaw Inn location, so there are similarly plenty of options there. The Grand Tower is right off of the casino floor and features the usual mix of in-room amenities. Additionally, the property is home to a swimming pool. Unfortunately, it turns out that the poison of resort fees has made its way to Oklahoma, so you can tack another ten bucks per night ($9.99) to whatever their website says your room rate is going to be.

The Spa Tower is above the spa and doesn’t seem particularly different from the Grand Tower. One funny thing about one of the pictures on the site for the Spa Tower is that the bed is so wrinkled that it would never pass my inspection at the economy hotel I once managed. Smooth that thing out for the photographer!

The Choctaw Inn is right off of the indoor pool, apparently, and their webpage is quick to point out the so-called, “Complementary,” wireless internet. If it’s complimentary, then what in the hell is the $10 nightly resort fee for? If it is for something identifiable, which it is not, can I opt-out of that thing and not pay the resort fee?

I ask the question already knowing the answer.

Beyond these hotels, the property is also home to an RV Park.

In my opinion, a casino property in Oklahoma has absolutely no business charging a resort fee, but what are you going to do? They’re everywhere now. Blame Las Vegas, they started it.

Anyway, this is a casino that we have to recommend going to and maybe even going out of your way for as a weekend, if not full week, destination. There are enough eateries that you could stay a full three days and not have enough room in your stomach to try them all. The people are pretty friendly. The casino is huge. Most importantly, in terms of gaming options, there is as much diversity in this casino as you are going to find anywhere. Hell, there are any number of casinos that don’t have any means to make simulcast wagering, so the full gamut of gambling options can be found here!

Choctaw Casino Resort Grant

The Choctaw Casino Resort Grant is located, as you might expect, in Grant, Oklahoma. Why is this one designated as a resort and not the other hotel properties when they certainly charge a resort fee? Your guess is as good as mine.

Okay, fine, we’ll admit it: The property looks absolutely gorgeous. It has one of the most breathtaking outdoor pools we have ever seen with some excellent overhead lighting that basically causes a dark rainbow ripple effect at night. There are any number of lounging chairs all over the place that provide the most absolute of comfort and a few absolutely gorgeous outdoor fire pits.

The three hotel wings feature pool access, microwaves and refrigerators in the well-appointed guest rooms and suites as well as complimentary wireless internet.

Perhaps ironically, the Choctaw property that actually promotes itself with the resort moniker actually does not have a resort fee, at least, not as of the time of this writing. Therefore, the ones that are just a, “Hotel,” have a resort fee and the self-described resort does not. That’s pretty interesting.

This property has fewer machines than the Choctaw location immediately above, but once again, my God is this a gorgeous property. “Visually stunning,” is not sufficient to do this one justice, we just have to recommend going and seeing it for yourself. Aesthetically speaking, the outdoor area around the pool is on par with anything anywhere, completely breathtaking.

The property features a combined 1,200 Class II and Class III video poker, video keno and slot machines. They have a number of table games including Blackjack, Craps, Three Card Poker, Bonus Craps, Roulette and WPT Heads Up Hold ‘Em. According to their website, Craps is only dealt Thursday-Sunday, and some Craps players play that pretty exclusively, so those are the days you’re going to want to visit this destination.

The River Bar and Grill is a combination bar as well as one of the casual eateries on this property. In addition, the River Bar and Grill features live entertainment on some weekends with a schedule on their website. The Event Center also has live entertainment, but no events are scheduled at the time of this writing due to renovations taking place.

The property’s buffet is the Firehouse Grill and Buffet, which is called that because not only is the traditional buffet there, but there are also a few made to order grill stations available. The Cove Cafe is the property’s coffee shop and also features some grab and go items whereas the Cove Bar is another of the property’s bars. There is also a Chili’s Grill and Bar (yes, the chain) located on this property.

Anyway, this property does not have the gaming options that one might enjoy at the Durant location, so if the gamble is your main focus, we have to suggest going there for more machines, more table games, the poker room and the simulcast wagering. This Grant location doesn’t have the latter two at all. For my money, though, I would totally stay at this property instead because it is absolutely gorgeous. I don’t even think (and this is rare for me) that I would have a great deal of interest in the casino floor, if you want to find me, you’ll have to look poolside!

Choctaw Casino Idabel

The Choctaw Casino Idabel is one of the Choctaw locations that does not have a hotel connected to the casino. Located in Idabel, Oklahoma, this casino is one of the ones that is more akin to a large slot parlor, and consists of approximately 400 machines based on our phone call to the property.

Even with that, they say that they are only fifteen minutes from their Broken Bow Casino, which does have some table games. I’m not really sure what makes this casino not redundant, but maybe there are so many people playing the machines at the other that this ends up being the place for spillover, or perhaps the locals just want somewhere a bit more quiet sometimes.

Loggers Bar and Grill is the property’s bar and eatery and is open seven days per week. There is occasionally live entertainment for free on weekends with a schedule of any such events available on the Choctaw website.

Again, this is basically a locals stop and 25 free spins no deposit 2020 a large slot parlor, but if the hustle and bustle of the Broken Bow gets to be a bit much for you, then maybe stop by here and relax a bit.

Choctaw Casino McAlester

The Choctaw Casino McAlester is another one of their locations, located in a town of the same name, that does not have a hotel connected to it.

This casino is a bit more varied than a few of the others in that there are more than zero table games. Specifically, there are a couple of Blackjack tables as well as an Ultimate Texas Hold ‘Em table. The table games run from 4:00p.m. to midnight seven days per week. The machine count is not listed on their website, but a call to the property revealed that there are precisely 436 machines as of the time of this writing.

The property’s only eatery is Trophy’s Bar and Grill, which has some pool tables, Karaoke contests with cash payouts and occasionally some other forms of free live entertainment on weekends.

In fairness, the emphasis might be on, “Little bit” but this seems like a cool little hangout with a little bit of everything to do and some blackjack and UTH games that have an ultra-casual feel to them. If you’re in the area, then you should probably check it out, seems like a fun little place.

Choctaw Casino Hotel Pocola

The Choctaw Hotel Pocola is the other Choctaw property that also features a hotel and is located in Pocola, Oklahoma. This property also does not charge a resort fee, so maybe the only Choctaw Casino that does is kind of doing it as a test run to see if people will be willing to tolerate paying it. Unfortunately, they probably will be, and because of that, it’s likely only a matter of time before it spreads like cancer that it is to the other Choctaw Casino Hotel properties.

In terms of the machine offerings, this casino has the second-most of the Choctaw Casino locations with 1,800 combined Class II and Class III video poker, video keno and slot machines. The casino is also home to a small poker room that consists of five tables and is open seven days per week.

Table games include:

  • Blackjack
  • Bonus Craps
  • Three Card Poker
  • Ultimate Texas Hold ‘Em
  • WPT Heads Up Hold ‘Em
  • Live Craps
  • Live Roulette

If you are looking to play a specific game, we recommend calling in advance and inquiring as to the usual operating hours as it is very doubtful that they operate every single one of these games during the operating hours for table games in general.

This property is also the place to go for simulcast betting options and features eighteen different tracks around the country for you to pick your favorite pony. The racebook location is near the table games area, so that makes it pretty easy to find.

The eateries and drinking establishments for this property are Gilley’s, Oak Tree Bar and Lounge, Trophy’s Bar and Grill and Coffee Cafe. This establishment is also home to a buffet called the Seven Ponies Buffet. In addition to the food and drink, Gilley’s features free live musical entertainment some days of the weekend. There are also paid entertainment events that take place in the smallish event center with a schedule for that also available on the property’s website.

Overall, this is going to be on the above average end of Oklahoma casino properties in terms of both its size and number of gaming offerings, so it might be worth a stop if those are among your priorities. That’s especially true if you happen to be in the area anyway, but this location is hardly the gaming metropolis that Durant location seems to be and it’s not quite the hotel that the Casino Resort location is. I guess it’s kind of in-between on both counts.

The Choctaw also have a number of locations that are travel plazas and are branded as, “Casino Too,” which is to say casino also. These places are going to be pretty small in scope and mostly function as travel plazas/gas stations/truck stops/convenient stores so we are not going to call them for precise machine counts. Instead, we will simply list the cities where these can be found:

  • Atoka
  • Broken Bow
  • Durant
  • Calera (Durant West)
  • Grant
  • Heavener
  • Hugo
  • Idabel
  • McAlester
  • Pocola
  • Stigler
  • Stringtown
  • Wilburton

Again, if you are familiar with the states that have so-called gambling, “Parlors,” or you are familiar with locations such as Dotty’s in Las Vegas or any of the bars that just happen to have a handful of machines, that is basically what these locations are. That’s why there’s really no point in giving any specifics, but if you see a Choctaw Travel Plaza and really want to gamble a little before getting gas, there you go. Most likely, truck drivers just go in there for a bit to unwind and locals come in and play a few spins.

Comanche Nation Casino Lawton

Our next tribe that is going to have a few branded casinos is the Comanche Nation of Oklahoma that operates four different properties that would qualify as casinos. We are going to start off with their Lawton location and go from there.

This Comanche Nation Casino features a combined 800 Class II and Class III video poker, video keno and slot machines ranging in denomination from pennies to five spots. Additionally, their website features a fairly comprehensive list of available titles, so if you’re passing through and want to know if your game of choice is available, that is exceptionally convenient.

The table games page on their website only speaks to Blackjack, so it seems that Blackjack and a few Blackjack variants might be the only tables available here. Hours are also listed on the website.

Eateries include the Mustang Grille, Comanche Nation Grill and War Pony Brewery. As of the time of this writing, the Comanche Nation Grill is being renovated, but the Mustang Grille is open and bills itself as the best casino restaurant in the entire state. That’s a hell of a lofty claim given some of the eateries that we have already discussed, especially when that claim is being made by what amounts to a casual diner.

There you go, pretty much a locals place with Blackjack, but perhaps worth a stop if you happen to be passing through. After all, who could ever go through the state without trying the best casino restaurant?

Comanche Red River Hotel Casino

The Comanche Red River Hotel Casino does what it says on the box and is located in Devol, Oklahoma. The Devol is certainly in the details, so let’s take a look at what this property has to offer:

The hotel features some 100 rooms including over 50 KIng Rooms with amenities that include wireless internet as well as access to a fitness center. Additionally, some of the rooms are pet-friendly, so if you’re traveling with a furry companion and need a place to stay, this is a good place to start if you’re in the Devol area.

This property features 1,000 combined Class II and Class III video poker, video keno and slots machines. Additionally, there are a few gaming tables consisting of Blackjack and Roulette that open at noon on weekdays and Whatsapp nachrichten von casino 888 10:00a.m. on weekends. When they close mostly seems to be based on how busy they are, so when the crowd dies, so do the tables. In addition to those table games, there is a small poker area that features tournaments with dates and times of the same available on their website.

The three dining/drinking locations are all Red River branded, you have the Red River Bar, the Red River Grill (casual) and the Red River Cafe for some quick eats.

There’s really not much else to this one, but the hotel seems perfectly fine, so while it’s not worth going out of your way if you prefer to stay in casino hotels as you are touring around the Midwest, this one is certainly worth a look.

Comanche Spur Casino

The Comanche Spur Casino is the branding that the Comanche have designated their Elgin, Oklahoma location. While there is no hotel at this property, there is a gas station and travel center, so that’s something. Aside from what can be grabbed at the Quik Stop, there is no eatery at the property. Upon calling, we discovered that the property is home to 167 total machines.

Comanche Star Casino

The casino branded as the Comanche Star is located in Walters, Oklahoma and is not home to a hotel. Unlike the Spur, there is a restaurant and bar, both of which are known as Comanche Star Grill and Comanche Star Bar. Upon calling the property, we were told that there are, “A little over 100,” machines located at the property and a comprehensive looking list, similarly, is available on the webpage for this property.

Creek Nation Casino Bristow

The Creek Nation Casino Bristow is owned by the Muskogee (Creek) Nation and is located in a town of the same name. This casino consists of less than 10,000 square feet of gaming space and a total of 225 machines.

The property features an eatery simply called, “Cafe,” and serves breakfast, lunch and dinner.

That’s about all there is to say about that one.

Creek Nation Casino Checotah

This Creek Nation Casino, naturally, is owned and operated by the Muskogee (Creek) Nation and is located in a town of the same name. This property originally opened as a bingo hall, but has since morphed into an oversized slots parlor that consists of roughly 300 slots, video poker and video keno games of both the Class II and Class III variety.

The eatery for this establishment is a little place called the Wildcat Cafe that serves an extremely basic menu.

With that, we’re on to the next.

Creek Nation Casino Duck Creek

Located in Beggs, Oklahoma and owned by the Muskogee (Creek) Nation, this casino is actually called the Duck Creek Casino, though it is often listed as the Creek Nation Casino Duck Creek. Maybe they just didn’t want the word Creek to appear twice. In any case, it’s close enough and is a small enough place that it seems reasonable to lump it in with our CReek Nation Casino branded listings.

This is a little larger than the others previously listed as it consists of 20,000 square feet of gaming space and just over 500 combined Class II and Class III video poker, video keno and slots games. The eatery for this one is the Duck Creek Casino Cafe and is a small little venue that serves all three.

Creek Nation Casino of Eufaula

The Creek Nation Casino Eufaula is located in a town by the name of Eufaula, Oklahoma. As always, it features a combination of Class II and Class III video poker, video keno and slot machine games, around 240, to be relatively precise.

As with the other so far, there is a small eatery, this time called the Jackpot Grill.

Creek Nation Casino Holdenville

The Creek Nation Casino located in Holdenville is a smaller large slots parlor than are the others. This particular location also features a mix of Class II and Class III games, but not too many of them, as the total machine count is but 135. Technically, the website says, “More than 135,” but 135 is already a pretty specific number, so they might as well say 136, 137, 138 whatever the count is. We’re just going to call it 135 and have that be good enough for us.

The eatery for this one is simply called Cafe, you’d think they could at least give it a fun name. I would just call it something completely off the wall, like The Frenzied Lemur Cafe, or something goofy and memorable even if the food isn’t.

Creek Nation Casino Muskogee

You guessed it, that’s what it’s called and that’s where it is. This is another location that originally opened as a bingo hall and morphed into a place with over 600 Class II and Class III combined video poker, video keno and slots machines.

The eatery for this location is called The Rock Creek Bar and Grill and is slightly more sizeable than the others because this is a slightly more sizeable glorified slots parlor. At least this eatery has a name. It’s open for breakfast and lunch and even has a little sign.

Creek Nation Casino Okemah

You know the names, so let’s talk about the games. Class II and Class III electronic gaming devices, 290 in all. A funny thing about these Creek Nation properties is that they always like to highlight a row of machines in the pictures on the games pages, and while they use different pictures, I think that you could look at a picture having gone to each of these little parlor places every day without knowing which one is which. At least you know what you’re getting, I guess.

The Creek Cafe is the ultra quick and ultra casual dining establishment here, which also features a candy bar vending machine. Exciting times we live in at these Creek Nation casinos.

Downstream Casino Resort

The time has come to break up the monotony of reading about Creek Nation Casino glorified slot parlors with something a little more exciting in the Downstream Casino Resort located in wonderful Quapaw, Oklahoma. This casino is owned by the Quapaw Nation of Oklahoma, but they got creative and decided to give the place an original name, so kudos for that.

This property features two hotel towers with amenities consisting of an indoor pool, an outdoor pool, a jacuzzi, fitness center, business center and wireless internet. We’re not going to call any of these things complimentary, however, because this property does levy a resort fee of $5.00/night, Casino age limit washington state at least it’s a cheap one, relatively speaking.

This property features roughly 2,000 combined Class II and Class III video poker, video keno and slot machine games ranging in denomination from pennies all the way to $25/credit.

In addition to the machines, the property features a selection of table games which, based on their website, include Blackjack, Four Card Frenzy, Pai-Gow Poker, Craps and Roulette. There is also a poker room that consists of 14 tables and deals Limit Texas Hold ‘Em, No Limit Texas Hold ‘Em, Omaha and Seven Card Stud. It’s doubtful that all of these choices operate at all times the poker room is open, same with the table games, so we recommend calling in advance if you’re looking for a specific game.

The Legends Sports Bar features live entertainment on some weekends, and additionally, there is an outdoor concert venue that features a variety of events throughout the year. Schedules for both are available on the property’s website.

This property features several dining choices which, perhaps more than the casino, are the main selling point of the property. The first is the DCBC Brewing Company which is home to a number of cocktails, craft brews and lounge type food. The Red Oak Steakhouse is your place to go for more elegant and fine fare. The property’s buffet is known as the Spring River Buffet. Buffalo Grille and Legends Sports Bar are two of the places to go for more casual grub. The Wa Na Bee Dea snack bar is your place to go for grab and go eats. Ma Ko Sha coffee is the property’s little coffeehouse that also features some desserts. There are also a few other bars scattered throughout the place that do mostly drinks only.

There is also a spa at the property as well as a golf course, if that’s what you’re into. Overall, we would consider this a pretty well-rounded property and it’s definitely worth considering spending a weekend if you’re regional. There’s not quite enough that we would call it a destination unto itself if coming from a great distance, though the state does have a select few casino properties that are. In any case, you could easily kill a weekend here without even trying all of the great eateries that are available, and we consider those this property’s main selling point. The gaming offerings are pretty good, but nothing special, even by Midwest standards.

Firelake Casino

The Firelake Casino and Entertainment Center is located in Shawnee, Oklahoma along with the much more well-known Grand Casino Hotel and Resort and both are owned and operated by Citizen Potawatomi Nation, Oklahoma. This property also has its own casino complex, but is mainly known for serving as the entertainment venue for major acts when it comes to the Grand Casino property.

Even with that limitation, it’s bigger than some casinos in the state. For one thing, it features more than 700 combined Class II and Class III video poker, video keno and slot machine games. Additionally, there are a few blackjack tables as well as a small poker area with a few tables.

The bar for this location is known as the Lucky 7’s Bar, the casual sit down eatery is known as The Bistro Grill and the buffet is simply called The Buffet.

In any case, this place which basically exists as a subsidiary is still bigger than some of the glorified slot parlors that dot the state. I don’t really know that such is any reason to go out of your way to visit it, as there’s still not much there, but Shawnee is a reasonably sized area, so they probably want to snatch up the locals that happen to be near it and make it convenient for them.

Fancy Dance Casino

This is a placeholder for a new casino that has been announced by the Ponca Tribe of Indians to be built in Perry, Oklahoma. This page will likely be updated the next time we check for new information and this will be updated to a full listing. If you would like for that to happen faster, just E-Mail us and let us know when it opens and we’ll get it done for you!

Gold Mountain Casino

The Gold Mountain Casino is another casino owned and operated by the Chickasaw Nation, this time located in Ardmore, Oklahoma. Inclusive of both Class II and Class III machines, the machine count for this casino is about 300 in total. If there’s an eatery there, their website says nothing about it, so neither will we.

Basically, just a locals slot parlor type place.

Gold River Casino

The Gold River Casino is owned by the Delaware Nation of Oklahoma and is located in Anadarko. The combined eatery and full-service bar for the property is the Lenape Lounge and Grill. Their website does not give much in the way of information about the games. I called the property and was told they do have table games. I asked how many table games and how many machines, but the security guy who answered the phone said he would have no idea and did not offer to transfer me to anyone who might know.

So, with that, we conclude that Gold River Casino consists of more than zero table games and more than zero machines.

Golden Eagle Casino

The Golden Eagle Casino is located in Apache, Oklahoma and is owned by the Apache Tribe of Oklahoma. According to their website, they have a combined 170 Class II and Class III video poker, video keno and slot machine games. Their entire website consists of one webpage and has a little calendar of promotional days, but does nothing to suggest what the different promotions might consist of. If you want to know, then I suppose you have to call to find out.

In any event, nothing to see here, just a place with slots. If there is an eatery at this property, their little webpage has nothing to say about it.

Golden Mesa Casino

The Golden Mesa Casino is a fairly small casino located in Guymon, Oklahoma and is owned and operated by the Shawnee Tribe in partnership with the Chickasaw Nation. This property features both slot machines and table games. Machine choices include a combined over 600 Class II and Class III video poker, video keno and slot games.

The website states that table games include Blackjack and Ultimate Texas Hold ‘Em, but we really love the lead in paragraph and will quote it here:

Whether you’ve been dealt the hand of a lifetime or you’re calling someone’s bluff, the cards are in your hands when you pull up a seat at the table.

Who’s doing the bluffing? These are not games played against other players! Is the Blackjack dealer the one bluffing? Anyway, we found that amusing enough to include.

According also to their website, these are the only table games in the panhandle region, but we don’t know if that is strictly true. It could be.

The property’s only eatery of note is The Copper Cantina and is a casual little stand that features mainly sandwiches. For your libation, the place to go is the Gold Spur Bar. The restaurant opens daily at 11:00a.m. Finally, this small casino does have its own players club called the Golden Mesa Players Club, appropriately enough.

Overall, this is just a small casino with a couple of tables, but hey, if it’s the only game in town and you’re in town wanting to play a game, that makes it automatically the place to go.

Golden Pony Casino

The Golden Pony Casino is located in Okemah, Oklahoma and is owned and operated by Thlopthlocco Tribal Town. This property features a combined 400 electronic gaming devices with all of the titles mentioned on their website belonging to games that are Class II games. It’s possible that no Class III machines exist at this location, and we would call and ask, but more often than not the question would not be understood.

For eats, the Golden Pony Cafe is open daily and just features a simple casual American style menu.

There you have it, another one of the little slot houses, overgrown parlors, micro-casinos, whatever term you like best for these places. I would personally say, “Parlors,” but there are some who would protest by saying, “It’s got too many machines to be called a parlor.”

Goldsby Gaming Center

The Goldsby Gaming Center is a smallish property owned and operated by the Chickasaw Tribe of Oklahoma. Some listings would have it as located in Goldsby, but Google says it’s located in Norman, Oklahoma. The website for this property seems to agree with Google, so we are going to go with Norman as the official location. ‘

One thing about this property is that it is one of a decreasing number in the state to still feature live bingo games, which they do from Wednesday-Sunday. One of the things about the Class II and Class III Gaming devices in the state is that many of these micro-casinos (or parlors) in which they are housed are actually former bingo halls. Naturally, bingo takes some amount of square footage, so unless they wanted to build completely new buildings, it ended up being a, “One or the other” type of situation.

With roughly 20,000 square feet of gaming space, this casino was able to do both. In addition to the live bingo, the location also features a combined 361 Class II and Class III video poker, video keno and slot machines.

The Goldsby Grill is the property’s eatery and is a casual American food place that is open daily. The website also promotes a new bar upstairs, so you can drink either upstairs or downstairs now, I guess.

In any event, this is the place to go in Norman if you’re looking for live bingo! Many bingo players are pretty adamant about that being their game of choice, and further, some don’t even really consider bingo to be gambling and in contrast would never consider playing a machine. Here’s to hoping that the 300 seat bingo area remains intact and profitable so they may play it as long as they wish.

Grand Casino Hotel and Resort

The Grand Casino Hotel and Resort is a property belonging to the Citizen Potawatomi of Oklahoma and is, sure enough, located in Shawnee, Oklahoma. This is one of the more sizeable casino-hotel properties in the state, which admittedly makes for a much more interesting listing, so let’s see what they have to offer here.

The 14 story hotel is where we will start and features a combined 262 guestrooms and suites. The only real amenities outside of what one would expect the hotel to have are both wireless and wired internet that is free for guests to use. It’s pretty unusual for properties to still have hard-wired internet, although, some people say that it is faster. I personally haven’t noticed an overall difference. While this property does not have a resort fee, there is both a city tax and an occupancy tax that will boost your price by over 15%, combined.

While that may be unfortunate, nothing that a hotel can do about tax rates. Let’s just hope that they don’t start charging a resort fee on top of that. You might think that the amenity package is too basic for them to ever think they can get away with a resort fee, but you would be surprised at some of the other properties around this country who now see fit to charge one and are decidedly not resorts.

In addition to the (pay) spa, there is a fitness center on the property. We would assume that all guests would have access to the fitness center, but it’s listed on the spa page (as opposed to as an amenity) so we wouldn’t be as inclined to make the assumption in this case. You might want to call ahead and ask if getting your workout in is a big thing to you on a trip.

One of the larger slot floors in the state, this casino features over 2,000 combined Class II and Class III video poker, video keno and slot machine games. There is a somewhat small table games area that spreads Blackjack, Craps, Roulette and Ultimate Texas Hold ‘Em. You can definitely expect all four games to be running during prime time, but if you’re looking to go during a slower time of the day you might want to call and ask what to expect.

The property also features a poker room with regular promotions and tournaments, a calendar for those events being available on the website. Unfortunately, the website does not state how many poker tables are in operation at any given time or how many there are in total.

For fine dining, the Grand Brazilian Steakhouse is the place to go, this aesthetically pleasing eatery features a menu that consists of what you would expect, but with a little bit of Southwestern flare. The Grandstand Sports Grill consists of sandwiches, burgers and the other types of American food one would expect from a sports bar. There is a sushi spot called Soto Sushi. This is probably going to be one of the rare locations in the entire state of Oklahoma where you’re going to find fresh sushi. The Grand Cafe is another casual spot for American style food. Finally, the property is home to a Subway location, so you know what to expect there. The main bars for this property are the Ice Bar, the Fire and Ice Bar and then there is also a poolside bar.

Live entertainment consists of mostly regional acts in the Grand’s showroom. There is a schedule of upcoming acts on the property’s website which also conveniently includes the ticket prices right up front without a need to click on a separate link for that information, so that’s extremely convenient.

Finally, the property promotes the FireLake Golf Course on its website and has some stay and play packages in that regard, but the golf course is more than ten miles away, so for this writer, considering it as part of the resort is one hell of a stretch.

Ultimately, this property has a few unique eateries and an expansive slot floor, so those are going to be the main selling points. Other than that, we wouldn’t advise making a destination trip out of it unless you’re going to be in Shawnee for a weekend anyway, or something. It’s another one of those places that likes to carry the, “Resort,” moniker, but barely qualifies, if it qualifies at all.

That’s not to say it’s a bad property, it’s a perfectly decent place to kill a weekend, particularly if you’re interested in one of the acts who are performing there. There are just enough eateries that you can do a two night stay without going to the same place twice. Also, you might be going to that property anyway. We’re just saying that, if we were coming from outside of the state and looking for a casino property to spend several days without ever really having to leave, then there are better choices.

Grand Lake Casino

The Grand Lake Casino is a casino trending on the smaller side that is located in Grove, Oklahoma and is owned and operated by the Seneca-Cayuga Tribe.

This property is home to a smallish hotel type place known as The Lodge, which features a total of thirty guest rooms. That’s a great place to stay both if you are looking to hang out at the casino or if you are looking to get some fishing done out on the lake. The hotel property seems like it REALLY wants to get you to check out the casino, however, as the rates seem ridiculously high (as of the time of this writing) but that’s because they include an amount of free play that seems to be 75%, or more,of the total room rate. If the player is wise and takes maximum benefit of this (only playing it through once and cashing out) then there are ways to play that should result in the hotel rooms effectively being extremely cheap! This writer would jump all over it.

This property’s casino floor features a combined 600 Class II and Class III slot machines, video poken and video keno games. Here’s a quote about the games from the website that we really love:

Let’s just say that we have a large variety of gaming machines to choose from seriously, we have over 600 games. You can choose from VGT, IGT, AGS, WMS, SED and a variety of other abbreviated companies who make gaming machines. Plus, other games from Bally’s, Aristocrat, Ainsworth, Aruze, Cadillac Jack, Multimedia, Nova, Eclipse, Rocket, and more.

I just love, “And a variety of other abbreviated companies who make gaming machines,” that’s the kind of joke I would make and gave me a great laugh. Whoever wrote that paragraph, please shoot me an E-Mail, we should work together on something sometime.

The only table game that seems to be featured is Blackjack and they heavily promote the fact that the blackjack tables include the 21+3 side bet, which, by the way, you should NEVER EVER make. It’s terrible. As of the time of this writing, they have blackjack tournaments on Thursdays.

The property’s two eateries are Sue’s Good Eats and Venue 655, both of which are casual American style eats. As of the time of this writing, (early 2020) Venue 655 is closed for some renovations, so you might want to keep an eye out for that to open back up and what sort of menu you can expect.

All of the property’s entertainment seems to take place at Venue 655 and there is a schedule for same, but the dining page says that Venue 655 is presently closed and undergoing renovations. It’s tough to do anything with directly conflicting information, especially since there is no real time way to update it, so we recommend calling ahead of time and seeing what’s going on if other entertainment options are going to be important to you.

That’s what we have, this is a smallish hotel casino property with a casino floor that has offerings that comport with the size of the hotel. The outdoor activities nearby are quite varied, so the outdoorsman with a taste for gambling will certainly enjoy a weekend at this property. Aside from that, the free play part of the room offer (if done correctly) makes the rooms extremely cheap, so we do recommend taking advantage of that if you happen to be going to this area anyway. If not, it’s really tough to justify a recommendation based around going to this casino as there simply isn’t much to it.

Hard Rock Hotel and Casino Tulsa

The Hard Rock Hotel and Casino Tulsa is located in Tulsa, Oklahoma and is owned and operated by Cherokee Nation Entertainment by way of Cherokee Nation. This is one of the larger casino properties located in one of the larger cities in the state, so it should come as no surprise that there are offerings to match its size. We will detail them below:

The 454 combined guestroom and suite hotel is a AAA Four Diamond rated hotel establishment and is often considered to be the best available in all of Tulsa. Property features include an indoor adults only pool as well as a family friendly pool. Additionally, guests will enjoy wireless internet access. As of the time of this writing, Hard Rock does not charge a resort fee at this property, so we can only hope that it stays that way. The adult pool features day beds, loungers and fire pits, which are extremely cool at night. Additionally, the property is home to a fitness center. There is also a pay-for spa.

The sizeable casino floor features a combined 2,600 Class II and Class III video poker, video keno and slot machine offerings with some of the new titles listed on their website. The table games area is one of the largest in the state, given that it features forty total gaming tables. Granted, that would be small by the standards of Las Vegas casinos, but in reality, both types of casinos probably have the same number of tables open during the slower times. Included games are Blackjack, Craps, Roulette, Three Card Poker and Ultimate Texas Hold Em. If you are looking to play one of the few carnival games, then we must recommend calling in advance to get the usual times of operation.

There is a poker room for this casino, though the total table count is not listed. What is listed is that they deal Texas Hold ‘Em, Omaha and Seven-Card Stud. There is also a handy little widget that will tell you what tournaments are going on, if any, on a particular day of the week.

McGill’s on 19 is the fine dining establishment for this property and offers excellent steaks as well as a breathtaking view of Tulsa. The buffet at Hard Rock is simply called Buffet and features all three seven days a week. Casual eateries include Toby Keith’s I LOve This Bar Bar and Grill which basically has the sandwiches and bar food one would expect, the HIghway 66 Diner consists of American casual food and has a cool rock and roll theme (I’m biased), Flip Side is your 24/7 eatery for quick sandwiches and snacks, Salsa is going to be your place for Mexican food, Slice is for pizza and Champions Grill is the casual restaurant located in the clubhouse of the property’s golf course. Finally, Perfect Cup is the little coffee shop for coffee drinks, desserts and other grab and go items.

The Joint is the entertainment venue on the property that brings in some of the bigger acts with a schedule of events available on their website. Track 5 is the live music dance hall. For those who want to rock, Kiss salutes you, I salute you and you can rock at the place called Amp. Riffs is also a bar for those who want to rock on Thursdays and weekends. In addition to the music and dancing choices, the property is also home to a comedy club known as Midnight Joker Comedy Club.

Overall, a stay at this property if you’re going to be in Tulsa anyway is the lock of this page absolute no-brainer. The gambling offerings are pretty slots-centric, but in addition to the golf course, there are any number of ways to be entertained at this property and so many eateries that it’s easy to stay a three-day weekend without ever trying the same place twice. This might also be ideal for wedding receptions, business meetings or other conventions for those entities who want to do something approximating Vegas at a price that will not approximate Vegas Strip casinos.

The only criticism we can really offer on this property is that one of this size really should have a wider range of table game types available. It’s kind of unusual, even considering that they have a poker room, to have a 2,200 machine property that only spreads five different table games. Aside from that, the Hard Rock rocks and while it may not be our #1 choice if you could only pick one casino-hotel in the entire state, it’s definitely on the shortlist and an excellent bet if you’re going to Tulsa anyway.

High Winds Casino

The High Winds Casino is a small casino located in Miami, Oklahoma and is owned and operated by the Ottawa Tribe. There’s not a ton to say about the casino itself other than they have a combined 450 Class II and Class III gaming devices consisting of video poker, video keno and slots that range in denomination from pennies to ten spots.

The combination restaurant bar is simply known as The Steakhouse and is an upscale casual restaurant that serves all three, except breakfast is only available in the lounge area on Monday mornings as the larger restaurant is itself closed. In both cases, you’re ordering from the same menu, though players at the lounge will be well advised to know that the full menu stops at ten in the evening.

All told, it’s an oversized parlor that happens to have a pretty good restaurant and there’s really not much else to say about this one.

Indigo Sky Casino

The Indigo Sky Casino is one of the three casino properties in the State of Oklahoma owned by the Eastern Shawnee Tribe and is located in Wyandotte. The property features a sizeable hotel consisting of 245 guestrooms and suites as well as a large RV park for those of you tooling around the Midwest. For your convenience, all guest rooms feature a refrigerator and all guests have access to both high speed (wired) and wireless internet. Additionally, there is a fitness center available for guests.

As of the time of this writing, Indigo Sky does not charge a resort fee, so we can only hope that it stays that way.

The sizeable casino floor features a combined 1,200 Class II and Class III video poker, video keno and slot machine games. The table games area, according to their website, at least features Blackjack, Three Card Prime, Four Card Frenzy and WPT Heads Up Hold ‘Em. If there are more table games than that, they are not specifically listed on the site though they do have a link to Galaxy Gaming but it would be difficult to believe that every Galaxy Gaming product is at this casino as that is some dozen different games and the casino is just not that big.

They do say that tables are open 24/7, but chances are that Blackjack is the only table running during the slower times, so we recommend calling ahead and getting the usual days and hours for one of the carnival games if there is a specific one you are looking for.

The small poker room consists of eight tables and deals No LImit Hold ‘Em, Omaha and Pineapple. Again, if you’re looking to play one of the last two, then we recommend calling ahead of time to maybe get an idea of when those games are usually going. Fortunately, for you bingo lovers out there, Indigo Sky is your place to be with big stakes and a big room 500 seats to be specific. Not only that, but bingo can also be played seven days per week as of the time of this writing.

The Three Sisters Food Court does what it says on the box and consists of burgers, pizzas, salads and sandwiches as well as an assortment of other items. The Sky Grille is your casual American style place featuring sandwiches that is open seven days per week. The Shawanoe is a combination restaurant as well as also being the casino’s buffet.

The Echo Bar is the primary place for libations at this property and generally features live entertainment Thursday-Saturday nights with a schedule of performers available on the website.

That’s what you have here and, if you’re going to be staying in or passing through Wyandotte, checking this place out is a no-brainer. Aside from that, there’s not enough on offer that we would say you absolutely must go out of your way to check it out, or that it would even make our Top 10 list of destination casinos in the state.

Ioway Casino

The Ioway Casino is a small casino property that is located in Chandler, Oklahoma and is owned and operated by the Iowa Tribe of Oklahoma. This property consists of a modest gaming floor featuring a combined 250 Class II and Class III Video Poker, video keno and slot machines.

In addition, the property has recently added a new steakhouse, which is a casual place open for both breakfast and lunch seven days per week. They claim to have the best food on Route 66, so let us know if that’s true if you stop by the place! In addition to the steakhouse, the Ioway Bar is the place to go for your favorite libations.

All in all, what you have here is a little slot house and restaurant mostly geared towards locals, no harm in giving it a try if you happen to be passing through. Route 66 is a pretty long expanse of road, so if the steakhouse really has the best food on that road, that’s pretty impressive!

Jet Stream Casino

Jet Stream Casino is located in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma, but the casino does not belong to Paul as it is owned and operated by the Chickasaw Tribe of Oklahoma. In addition to the machines, the property is home to a convenience store as well as a tobacco shop.

In addition to the BrixLive Blackjack, which is something fairly unique that we have discussed before, we called and were told that the property features a total of 91 other gaming machines.

Kanza Casino

If you do a Google search for this property, which is owned by the Kaw Nation of Oklahoma, you will return results for the SouthWind Casino, but this is actually a different property. This travel plaza features a total of fifty electronic gaming devices and is located in Braman, Oklahoma. The SouthWind Casino (as we will see later) is also owned by the Kaw Nation of Oklahoma and is located in Braman, hence Google’s confusion of the two.

Kickapoo Casino Harrah

The Kickapoo Casino in Harrah, Oklahoma is owned and operated by the Kickapoo Tribe of Oklahoma. You will want to include the cities in any Google Search for these casinos, otherwise, you will be directed to a bingo place that is located in the State of Texas.

The Harrah location features a total of 600 Class II and Class III video poker, video keno and slot machine games to choose from. If table games are more your thing, they have a few card games including Blackjack, Ultimate Texas Hold ‘Em and Deuces and Joker Wild. There are a total of six gaming tables at the property.

There is a bar at the property that features some bar food and occasionally hosts watch parties for UFC and other events.

Kickapoo Casino Shawnee

The Kickapoo Casino Shawnee is also owned by the Kickapoo Tribe of Oklahoma, and not surprisingly, is located in the city of Shawnee. This location is a bit more limited than is the Kickapoo Casino Harrah locations as it features a total of 300 Class II and Class III video poker, video keno and slots games. There is also a bar at this location.

Kiowa Casino Carnegie

The Kiowa Casino Carnegie is one of a few casinos owned and operated by the Kiowa Tribe of Oklahoma located in a town of the same name. In addition to a bar, this property features 110 total gaming devices inclusive of slot machines, video poker and video keno.

Additionally, there is a small cafe located here named, appropriately enough, The Kiowa Cafe. Please keep in mind that the cafe is not open on Mondays or Tuesdays as of the time of this writing, so if you’re looking for a place to eat and play on those days, you’ll only find a place to play here.

Kiowa Casino Red River

The Kiowa Casino Red River is located along Red River in a town called Devol, Oklahoma. This casino is larger than the Carnegie location in both size and scope. For one thing, the property is home to a hotel that features 63 total guest rooms, a fitness center, wireless internet access as well as a fully-equipped business center. The rooms are fairly basic, but are reasonably and consistently priced throughout pretty much the entire year with the exception maybe to any special events that are going on in the surrounding area. Fortunately, there is no resort fee at this property as of the time of this writing.

The casino floor features a combined 800 Class II and Class III slots, video poker and video keno machines. Additionally, there is a small table games area with Blackjack, Roulette, Ultimate Texas Hold ‘Em and Three-Card Poker. Slot machine denominations range from pennies to five spots, by the way.

The upscale casual eatery for this place is the Morning Star Steakhouse. Additionally, there is a buffet at this property similarly called the Morning Star Buffet and Grille. In addition to these eateries, the property is also home to a bar that is open seven days a week.

We would recommend this place for an overnight stay if you’re traveling and happen to be passing through the Devol area. It’s a nice little place with reasonably priced rooms and a buffet with pretty good operating hours. Additionally, the table games will give you something to do for a bit if you are not inclined towards machine play.

Kiowa Casino Verden

This is another KIowa Casino branded property, this time located in Verden, but naturally owned and operated by the Kiowa Tribe of Oklahoma. This particular location is not home to a restaurant of any kind and the total gaming offerings consist of approximately 100 machines, which were were told upon calling.

Lucky Star Casino Canton

This is another casino among quite a few owned and operated by the Cheyenne and Arapaho Tribes of Oklahoma and is located in Canton, Oklahoma. There are quite a few casinos in the state known as Lucky Star Casino and we will describe them all here.

Unfortunately for us, the Lucky Star website is less than useless as they just list the total number of machines across all properties, which is not even remotely helpful when doing individual listings. Because of this, we are going to offer full credit to the Travel Oklahoma website.

And assume their information to be generally correct. While we could call up all of the individual Lucky Star locations for information, we would be asking literally everything about each casino, and we’re simply not going to do that. If the Lucky Star website doesn’t care to discuss its own casinos specifically, then why should we do their job for them?

According to Travel Oklahoma, this location consists of approximately 400 combined Class II and Class III slot, video poker and video keno games. In addition to that, electronic blackjack is available, but it does not specify whether or not that is BrixLive Blackjack. The Warrior Deli and Grill is the property’s eatery.

Lucky Star Casino Clinton

The Lucky Star Casino Clinton is the Clinton location for these properties owned and operated by the Cheyenee and Arapaho tribes, and once again, we will turn to Travel Oklahoma for more information:

According to them, the casino floor for this location consists of about 13,000 square feet of gaming real estate. The property features a combined 400 Class II and Class III slots, video poker and video keno games. Unlike the Canton location, this property does have a few gaming tables and deals Blackjack 24/7 with regular tournaments. The poker area consists of at least Texas Hold ‘Em and has regular tournaments for that.

The eatery for this property is called The Turtle Creek Cafe.

Once again, all credit to Travel Oklahoma.

Lucky Star Casino Concho

The Lucky Star Casino in Concho is a much larger Lucky Star Casino than the above two consisting of roughly 40,000 feet of gambling real estate, according to Travel Oklahoma. In addition to roughly 1,500 combined Class II and Class III slot, video poker and video keno games, this property features live blackjack as well as live poker.

The property’s combined Bar/Restaurant is called REZ and features American food.

Once again, all credit for this information goes to Travel Oklahoma.

Lucky Star Casino Watonga

The Lucky Star Casino also has a location in Watonga. According to Travel Oklahoma, this location was formerly known as the Feather Warrior Casino, which, let’s be honest, is a much cooler name. This is the smallest of the Lucky Star properties and essentially amounts to a large slot house consisting of 175 Class II and Class III electronic gaming devices.

NOTE: ALL THANKS TO THE TRAVEL OKLAHOMA WEBSITE FOR ENABLING US TO COMPLETE THESE LISTINGS. YOU CAN FIND THEM HERE:

We are usually one of the places to go for specific casino information, but due to the fact that the Lucky Star website offers almost nothing to start from, we didn’t want to call the casinos directly to literally ask for every piece of information about them. That said, Travel Oklahoma features listings of all kinds, not just those related to casino properties. If you’re passing through the state and are looking for other stuff to do, we highly recommend checking out the free site as it is a plethora of information about everything that the beautiful state has to offer.

With that out of the way, we hope that we can be solely responsible for the information in our listings from here on out.

Lucky Turtle Casino

The Lucky Turtle Casino is a small casino property and travel center located in Wyandotte, Oklahoma and owned and operated by the Wyandotte Tribe of Oklahoma. Denominations of the 109 slots range from pennies to five spots and it is possible that all are Class II machines. As of the time of this writing, the names of all of the machines that they seem to be promoted on the website (such as Mr. Moneybags) are always, or at least can belong to, Class II devices.

That would make sense enough as the place is pretty small and they don’t have to pay any tax to the State of Oklahoma on anything that their Class II machines make. This property is also home to a small American food diner called The Turtle Stop Diner as well as a convenience store.

Madill Gaming Center

The Madill Gaming Center, no surprise, is located in Madill, Oklahoma. The owners and operators of this modestly sized property are the Chickasaw Nation of Oklahoma. This property is located next door to a smokes and snacks shop. “Smokes, snacks, Snickers, shots and slots,” they should totally put that on the sign and I want full credit if they do.

In any case, this little place is home to 99 total gaming machines, which as they say on the website, gives you 99 chances to win.

Native Lights Casino

The Native Lights Casino is located in Newkirk, Oklahoma and is owned and operated by the Tonkawa Tribe of Oklahoma.

An interesting component of this property, as they say on the website, is that they are the home to the state’s only VGT lounge which consists of 5,700 square feet, 115 machines and ranges in denomination from pennies to $10’s. The reason that we call this interesting is that VGT stands for, “Video Gaming Terminal,” and essentially amounts to it automatically being a Class II (Electronic Bingo, not independent RNG) based machines. Usually, a place would want to hide this fact, but instead, they highlight it.

Anyway, they list the VGT titles on their website, so if you’re going to Oklahoma anytime in your life, or if you already live there, take a good, hard and long look at that list and know this: Those are not slot machines. Slot machines operate with an independent random number generator, these do not. These electronic bingo machines choose a particular result (via communication with a central computer) from a pool of results and effectuate the machine spinning in a way that corresponds with the result that was selected.

There’s nothing wrong with that and they are basically random, if you’re a slots player, it really doesn’t make a huge difference and you just want to be playing the best expected return game (not that either of us know what that is—usually) anyway. It is, however, important for video poker players. A Class II Video Poker game can return anything, and because it is not RNG based, the paytables and probabilities of video poker do not need to comport with what the game actually returns.

In total, this property features 500 total combined slot, video poker and video keno games after accounting for any Class III games as well as for Class II’s located elsewhere in the casino.

The combination eatery and lounge is the Buffalo Grill, which they term, “Fine dining,” but that’s a hell of a stretch. The menu is upscale casual American food.

There are a few table games open Thursday-Sunday where Blackjack, Three Card Poker and Ultimate Texas Hold ‘Em are spread.

Anyway, we are going to recommend this property and give big time props for basically pointing out which machines in the place are Class II machines as opposed to which ones are Class III machines. Some slot players are averse to Class II machines even though, like we said, it really doesn’t matter for slot players. Paytable/Probability based games such as video poker and video keno are where the differences between the two really come into play. Beyond that, the restaurant is pretty nice if not, “Fine dining,” and it’s just an overall pretty cool place to kill a few hours or an entire evening on the weekend.

Newcastle Casino

The Newcastle Casino located in Newcastle, Oklahoma, is another property owned and operated by the Chickasaw Tribe of Oklahoma. With total gaming real estate consisting of over 110,000 square feet, it is also one of the larger casinos in the state.

The casino floor consists of a combined over 3,000 Class II and Class III slot machines, video poker and video keno games. Additionally, the 14 table games area spreads Three Card Poker, Blackjack, Roulette, Mississippi Stud, Ultimate Texas Hold ‘Em and Baccarat. They tout themselves as the largest casino in the metropolitan area, and for good reason.

Additionally, their site for this property features a comprehensive game finder with a convenient drop down menu, so that you can check out the titles and denominations for everything that they have to offer. With such an expansive array of titles, it’s a pretty safe bet that you’ll find at least one machine that you like in this place!

This property features two eateries, with the first being Kitchen 44 a casual American food place that has great sandwiches and burgers and is also the place to go in town for a filling breakfast. They say breakfast is the most important meal of the day, and a day at the tables is no exception! The other eatery is the combination bar/restaurant that is the Front Row Sports Bar and has the usually brews and bar fare that you would expect.

There is not a hotel with this property, but there are plenty in that metropolitan area with a few relatively close to the casino. Overall, we would definitely recommend a visit to this property if you happen to be passing through the area or are staying in the general area for a night or a weekend. It’s basically one of the larger, but extremely casual and fun casinos that you will find!

One Fire Casino

The One Fire Casino is owned and operated by the Creek Nation of Oklahoma and is located in a place called Okmulgee. This fairly modest casino property features a combination of Class II and Class III video poker, video keno and slot machines totaling about 350.

The property’s drinking establishment is called the One Fire Sports Bar and there is also an eatery called Council Oak Cafe that features some pretty solid BBQ as well as other American style food choices and a number of burgers.

Definitely worth a stop if you happen to be passing through and want to grab a bite to eat and maybe play a little bit after.

Osage Casino Bartlesville

We will next get into a number of casinos owned and operated by the Osage Tribe of Oklahoma the first of which is in a little town called Bartlesville. These casinos are all branded as, “Osage Casino,” with the only other designator in the moniker being the location.

The Bartlesville location features a combination of Class II and Class III games totaling a little bit over 440. In addition, Blackjack is also offered with no commission on certain days of the week. If they do have other table games, none are listed.

One of the eateries at this location is the buffet, which operates from Thursday-Sunday every week. However, there is also a deli for sandwiches, Commerce casino slots salads and other quick eats that operates seven days a week, so if you’re there on a Monday, you’re not completely out of luck.

If you’re passing through the Bartlesville area, consider a stop if you’re hungry and maybe hit the blackjack table for a bit, especially if it’s a no commission day.

Osage Casino Hominy

This property is a bit smaller than the Osage Bartlesville location and does not feature any table games whatsoever. Essentially a large slot house, this casino features a total of around 225 combined Class II and Class III video poker, video keno and slot machine games. An extremely casual American style restaurant can be found in the form of the Jackpot Bar and Grill and is open seven days a week serving all three meals of the day, every day!

Osage Casino Pawhuska

This is another Osage Casino that trends on the smaller side and only features Class II and Class III video poker, video keno and slot machine games, 175 of them, to be specific. Sandwiches, salads, pizzas and other quick eats, as well as breakfast, can be found at the Jackpot Pizza and Deli at this location.

Osage Casino Ponca City

The Osage Casino located in Ponca City is basically similar to the Bartlesville location as it features a few blackjack tables in addition to the total 345+ Class II and Class III video poker, video keno and slot machine games. The Salted Fork is the property’s casual diner and seems to have a little bit of everything ranging from American to Tex Mex. This little restaurant is open seven days per week and serves all three every day.

The property features a small hotel with a fitness center, business center, outdoor pool and hot tub and wireless internet.

Osage Casino Sand Springs

The Sand Springs Osage Casino location is located in a town of the same name and features a combined 540 gambling devices inclusive of Class II and Class III slots, video keno and video poker. It seems kind of strange that this one does not have any tables since it has more machines than others discussed so far, but maybe they’ll make some room for them one day. Roni Peppo’s pizza kitchen is the property’s only eatery and does what it says on the box for lunch and dinner, Best bitcoin slot machines to play at winstar bitcoin casino there is no restaurant for breakfast at this one.

Osage Casino Skiatook

This Osage Casino location is another one that essentially takes the form of a large slot parlor and is located in the town of the same name. Gaming offerings consist of a combined 315 Class II and Class III video poker, video keno and slot machine games. Fiery Grill is the property’s eatery featuring Classic American eats and other American style comfort foods. It serves lunch and dinner.

The property does feature a small hotel with amenities consisting of a business center, outdoor pool and hot tub and wireless internet access.

Osage Casino Tulsa

It’s all been leading up to the largest Osage Casino location and where else would that be except for a large city, Tulsa, Oklahoma? This large casino hotel property is the biggest of them by far and features a combined 1,600 Class II and Class III video poker, video keno and slots machines. Essentially, this would be a smallish casino by Vegas standards and is probably comparable to your average sized locals casinos elsewhere in the country.

In addition to the machines, the property is home to a modest table games pit that spreads Blackjack, Craps and Roulette. You can play these games commission free three days per week.

Stonecreek Kitchen is going to be your eatery of choice at this property if you are looking for a hearty, but maybe not so much healthy, hot breakfast. The featured eatery is the casual Thunder Bar and Grill dishing out great drinks and great American style food. The property is also home to a Roni Peppo’s Pizza Kitchen as well as a coffee and dessert place called Nine Band Brewing Company.

The casino also features a hotel with amenities including a fitness center, business center and outdoor pool and hot tub. For whatever reason, their website neglects to list a room count, so we won’t either.

OSAGE OVERALL:

That should cover everything that you need to know as far as Osage Casinos go and deciding which one to visit. Some of them are larger and more varied than others, with the one in Tulsa being the most varied. However, for a place with so many machines (Tulsa) the table game and other gambling game choices seem fairly limited. The room rates for any of the ones with hotels seem reasonable enough, and they occasionally have pretty decent packages. Apparently, the hotels are also all relatively new or are newly renovated.

In this case, we wouldn’t necessarily go out of our way to go to any of these, unless you’re already pretty close by, but you should definitely consider one if you are going to be passing through or visiting the area of any of them anyway.

Prairie Moon Casino

The Prairie Moon Casino is a small casino located in Miami, Oklahoma and is owned and operated by the Miami Nation. This is one of the two Prairie Moon Casinos in town with the other being the Prairie Sun Casino that we shall discuss later.

There’s one order of business first, it’s time to look at a map and see whether the sun is setting or rising. It turns out that the Prairie Moon Casino is southeast of the Prairie Sun Casino, and as we know the sun rises in the East and sets in the West, so therefore, the Prairie Sun Casino is setting. On a side note, Google is probably curious as hell as to why I want to leave one casino and go to another with basically the same name.

There is a restaurant at the Prairie Moon simply called Restaurant. Have to give them credit for getting right to the point. It features extremely casual American quick eats.

We called the property and were informed that the gambling machine count is, “About 150, at least

Prairie Sun Casino

The Prairie Sun Casino is a bit larger than the Prairie Moon Casino as it features 280 combined Class II and Class III slot machine, video keno and video poker games, though it also does not have any table games.

The eatery for this property is a little restaurant called Whisiniko and there is a separate bar called The Bar. That’s a good name for it, I guess.

Quapaw Casino

The Quapaw Casino is similarly located in Miami, Oklahoma, but it is not owned by the Miami Nation. Rather, it is owned by the Quapaw Tribe of Oklahoma. They are taking the competition to our Prairie Eclipse Casinos as they feature a monolithic gaming floor consisting of a combined 500 Class II and Class III slots, video poker and video keno games.

The Paw is a bar location inside of the Quapaw Casino that has some pool tables, plenty of drinks and occasional live entertainment. The fairly basic website does not have an entertainment schedule of events on it, so you’ll just have to call and see if anything is going on that night.

The restaurant at this property is called the Jackpot Grill, is open every minute of every day and serves all three: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. If you find yourself in Miami, Oklahoma, why not check them all out? There are a few others that we have mentioned and will mention, as well.

That’s always a good piece of advice: Spread the gambling around! It gives you the break of traveling from one casino to the other, doesn’t let you get sucked into a specific machine for too long and in raw hours and minutes, your money should last longer especially for you slots players out there!

River Bend Casino and Hotel

The River Bend Casino and Hotel is owned and operated by the Wyandotte location of Oklahoma and just so happens to be located in Wyandotte. In fact, it used to be called The Wyandotte Casino, but then it added a hotel and decided to rebrand. This is a fairly sizeable casino property, especially by Oklahoma standards, so let’s take a deeper look and see what this one has to offer!

The hotel portion of the property is fairly basic, though nice and consists of 92 guestrooms and suites. Amenities for the hotel include fitness center access as well as free wireless internet. As with lots of other aspects of this property it can best be described as, “Simple, but nice

The casino floor consists first of about 750 combined Class II and Class III slots, video poker and video keno machines ranging in denomination from pennies to tens. The table games pit operates on different hours depending on the day and consists of Blackjack, Heads Up Hold Em and Three Card Prime. We would recommend calling ahead for the typical operating hours of the last two, though there can probably be expected to be a blackjack table open anytime the tables area (in general) is.

The Twin Bridges Restaurant is kind of upscale casual American food just a hair short of fine dining and has won the best overall restaurant award from a few different sources, it’s just not the best overall restaurant anywhere on Mondays because it’s not open. The Deli features some quick eats and grab and go. Club 60 West is a bar type location that features a few bites, but is basically limited to appetizers.

Additionally, the Club 60 West bar features live entertainment on most weekend days with a schedule of the month’s upcoming events available on the property’s website. Additionally, you can find bowling, billiards and shuffleboard.

Overall, this is a cool little locals hangout and a decent place to crash for a night or a weekend if you happen to be passing through. It’s extremely relaxed and extremely simple, but is kept very clean and is overall just a laid back, friendly and fun experience. If you’re going to be in the area, you should at least give the River Bend Casino a look!

River Spirit Casino Resort

Located in Tulsa and owned and operated by the Creek Nation of Oklahoma, the River Spirit Casino Resort is one of the more sizeable properties in the state.

The expansive hotel for this property features a combined 483 guestrooms and suites and rises a mighty 27 stories into the sky, putting it right in competition with any casino hotel that you will find anywhere. Of course, it offers a breathtaking view of Tulsa and the miles and miles of surrounding area that you will see if you are fortunate enough to stay here. Additionally, the property features a sizeable outdoor pool, with cabanas, loungers and even an outdoor tiki bar. Additionally, the resort offers a sizeable fitness center, business center and wireless internet access for all guests.

On the downside, the scourge of resort fees has perverted what would otherwise be a wonderful hotel property. Oddly enough, the resort fees seem to be based on either the room rate or the room type as they go up as the rate of the room goes up.

The overall casino features over 200,000 square feet of gambling real estate which also includes a Margaritaville combined restaurant and casino that takes up 50,000 of those square feet by itself. Machine play at the property consists of a total of over 3,100 gambling devices inclusive to both Class II and Class III slots, video poker and video keno choices.

The property also features a sizeable table games area spreading Blackjack, Craps, Roulette, Mini-Baccarat, Ultimate Texas Hold ‘Em and Free Bet Blackjack. For any of the games except for the three staples, we recommend calling in advance for general operating hours as it is almost certain that the novelty games and variants do not operate around the clock.

If you’re still not impressed, maybe you’ll enjoy the poker room that deals Limit and No Limit Texas Hold ‘Em, Pot Limit Omaha, Omaha Hi Lo and Seven-Card Stud. Once again, not all of these games are likely to be going during all operating hours, so call in advance if you’re looking for something other than No Limit Texas Hold ‘Em. There are also regular tournaments and promotions with a schedule for those available on the property’s website.

We have already mentioned the Island themed and Island food inspired Margaritaville Restaurant and Casino, so all that remains is to mention that it also has an attached coffee shop. For fine dining, you might enjoy the well-known and national Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse. The property also features a buffet that is open seven days per week and is known as the Visions Buffet. The Rain Bay Cafe is a more casual eatery featuring sandwiches and other classical American quick bites. The Tiki Bar Restaurant near the pool also offers an assortment of shrimp dishes, wraps and other healthy stuff. The Fireside Grill features an upscale casual experience and mostly has sandwiches, burgers and other American food staples. The Scoreboard Sports Bar and the Five O Clock Somewhere Bar also feature some eats.

The Five O Clock Somewhere Bar in addition to the eats and drinks also features free live entertainment sveen days per week.

Paradise Cove features UFC and other major events including national acts with a schedule available on their website.

This is one of the premier casinos in the state and features a plethora of things to do. We can not possibly recommend this enough as it makes for a great weekend, and possibly full week, destination unto itself. The only thing that we can say against the property is that, if the table games they have listed are the full assortment available, then a casino of this size should really have more tables available. Also, screw resort fees. Either way, it’s going to take the Government to take resort fees illegal, otherwise, the disease is spreading rapidly and is unlikely to ever go into remission.

Rivermist Casino

River Spirit Casino this is not, but what Rivermist Casino is would be a nice little place located in Konawa, Oklahoma owned by the Seminole Tribe of Oklahoma. The property features a combined 236 video keno and slot machines of both the Class II and Class III ilk. Additionally, there is a small restaurant at this property that doesn’t really seem to have a name.

River Wind Casino

The River Wind Casino is a small casino property located in Norman, Oklahoma and is owned and operated by the Chickasaw Nation. This casino features a fairly basic hotel consisting of 100 rooms that offers wireless internet and not much else in terms of amenities. That fact notwithstanding, the prices are fairly reasonable and there are no resort fees here.

In terms of electronic devices, there are a total of 2,800 machines consisting of both Class II and Class III slots, video poker and video keno games.

The table games pit includes Blackjack, Roulette, Craps, Three Card Poker, Criss Cross Poker, Crazy 4 Poker, Blackjack Match and Ultimate Texas Hold ‘Em. If machines and tables aren’t your thing, then you can give the property’s poker room a try. The poker room consists of seventeen tables and features regular promotions and tournaments with schedules for same available on their website.

If picking the ponies is more your speed, you’re in luck, this casino is home to an off-track betting location that is open every day with exception to Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Finally, there are ten Mega Frenzy Bingo terminals which is a state linked bingo game with an impressive state linked bingo jackpot.

Eateries are either casual or quick and include the British-style Chips and Ales location, which is almost certainly one of the only pubs of its kind in the entire state. The other casual dining stop is the property’s buffet simply called The River Buffet. Quick Eats locations including a Panda Express, Burger King, Taco Bueno and a coffee shop called Rick’s Cafe. The other bar located on the casino floor is called the COOP Ale House.

Free entertainment is featured on many days of the weekend at the River Lounge with a schedule available on their website. Additionally, the Showplace Theatre features more well-known regional and national talent with a schedule available on the website for that as well.

Overall, this is easily one of the more expansive and impressive casino properties in the entire state and one could easily travel here to kill a weekend. If this property has one flaw, it’s probably that the choice of eateries is not as great as some of the others, though they do make up for that in part by having an extremely varied collection of tabled games (compared to other Oklahoma casinos) as well as varied types of gaming offerings in form of simulcast, poker and Bingo.

Riverstar Casino

The Riverstar Casino is located just across the Red River border from Texas in a town called Terral and is owned by the Chickasaw Nation of Indians. The property features a combined 600 Class II and Class III slot machines, video poker and video keno games, so that’s a decent selection compared to properties similar to this size.

The property also features six gaming tables and spreads Blackjack and also one table each of Three Card Poker and Ultimate Texas Hold ‘Em. During some of the slower operating hours, Blackjack could be the only game going, so we would recommend calling ahead if you want to know when to expect to find the other two.

KItchen 81 is one of the property’s two eateries and features burgers, catfish and an assortment of other comfort foods for both lunch and dinner. The property’s bar is called The Port and, if it features live entertainment at all, they don’t really mention it.

Anyway, seems like a cool enough place to stop and hang out for a bit for locals or if you are passing through the area.

Rock and Brews Casino and Resort

This is a placeholder for if the place is ever finished and opens. It was supposed to open last year (2019), so if it does this year and you’re the first to notice, please send us an E-Mail and we’ll make a listing.

Sac and Fox Casino

This smallish casino is located in Stroud, Oklahoma, and is owned by the Sac & Fox Nation. This should not be confused with the other Sac & Fox Casino that is located in the State of Kansas. We called and were able to determine that there are approximately 140 combined Class II and Class III slot, video poker and video keno games on the property.

The eatery for this property is called Rende Vu and is an extremely casual and low-priced eatery which mostly features their appetizers.

Salt Creek Casino

The Salt Creek Casino is the first casino property to open in its county as is located in Pocasset, Oklahoma. It is another casino owned and operated by the Chickasaw Nation of Oklahoma. The slots floor for this small casino features over 600 combined Class II and Class III video poker, slots and video keno games.

There are a few table games at the location with Blackjack, Ultimate Texas Hold ‘Em, Jackpot Hold ‘Em and Blackjack Match being spread.

The Brook Cafe features some homestyle comfort foods and the property’s drinkery is known as The Brook—great name choice for that one!

If there is any live music at the Brook, the website doesn’t really say anything about it.

Seminole Nation Casino

The Seminole Nation Casino is one of the larger casino properties in the area and is located in Seminole, Oklahoma. This casino is owned and operated by the Ohio Band of Mingo Indians. Kidding, kidding, it’s owned by the Seminole Nation of Oklahoma. The property consists of a combined Class II and Class III slot machines, video poker and video keno games.

Southwind Casino Braman, Kanza, Newkirk

The Southwind Casino Braman is one of three casinos in the state branded as Southwind Casino. It is owned and operated by the Kaw Nation of Oklahoma. The property sometimes called the Southwind Casino Braman would more accurately be listed as the Kanza Travel stop and casino and has already been listed above.

Actually, there are three locations listed on the website as Braman, Kanza and Newkirk. Here is what this poorly written paragraph on their website has to stay:

Win at SouthWind Casino, with THREE great locations in Oklahoma. The Kanza Casino (located inside the Kanza Travel Plaza at Braman, OK) is our newest facility and features more than 40 gaming machines for your entertainment. Plus, the Tower Grill, serving a variety of fast, casual dining selections. Our Braman Casino location is just south of the Kansas border on I-35 at Exit 231. Recently expanded, it offers nearly 300 gaming machines, plus Off Track Betting, and the contemporary 231 Bistro & Bar. And don’t forget about our original location in Newkirk, OK. Featuring hundreds of gaming machines, Bingo, and the KANZA Grill, its an entertainment destination. Good luck and gamble responsibly.

Apparently, what you have is a Kanza Casino that is located inside the Kanza travel plaza in a place called Braman, which we have already listed above. The Braman Casino is, naturally, also located in Braman, which is also the location of the Kanza Casino, and it has 300 gaming machines consisting of both Class II and Class III video poker, slots and video keno machines. The total of 700 machines on their website refers to the combined machine total of all three casinos, of which, one shouldn’t even really be called a casino because it’s just some machines in a gas station.

The off-track betting facility is located at the Southwind Casino Braman, not at Newkirk, even though the sentence immediately after the one mentioning off track betting kind of talks about Newkirk. The Bingo seems to be located in Newkirk, which their really poorly designed website (for which half of the links don’t work) seems to agree with elsewhere.

Finally, the Kanza Grill is in Newkirk, not in Braman casino or the Kanza Casino in Braman, so that’s easy.

All they really have to do is redesign the homepage of their website to list each location and what it has individually. You could even just have large bullets for the locations and small bullets for what is offered there. I appreciate the economy of trying to say everything about a location in a single paragraph, but actually, no, I don’t appreciate it. Please take a remedial composition class.

The Stables Casino

The Stables Casino, located in Miami, Oklahoma, is not owned by the Miami Band of Oklahoma, as you might expect, but is rather owned and operated by the Modoc Tribe of Oklahoma. Gaming wise, the property is essentially an overgrown slot parlor featuring approximately 500 combined Class II and Class III video poker, video keno and slot games.

The property was without a casual eatery for a long time, but just in January of this year (2020) the long-awaited Knotty Trough Restaurant finally opened. The Winner’s Circle Restaurant, a more upscale American eatery, is still there, don’t worry. There is also a snack bar that is open on horse racing days.

Stone Wolf Casino

The Stone Wolf Casino (two words: Stone Wolf) is a small casino located in the Pawnee Travel Station in Pawnee, Oklahoma and is owned by the Pawnee Tribe of Indians. The property features a combined total of 350 gaming devices inclusive to Class II and Class III video poker, video keno and slot machine games.

In addition to these gaming offerings and the travel center, this establishment is also home to a full-service BBQ style restaurant and bar. The restaurant is called Howler’s Famous BBQ, it’ll almost certainly have you howling for more!

(Totally weak joke, blame me, they didn’t do that.)

Seems like a cool enough place, even if none of the machines are of interest to you, everyone loves BBQ!

Sugar Creek Casino

Located in Hinton, Oklahoma, the Sugar Creek Casino is owned and operated by the Wichita and other Affiliated Tribes. The affiliated hotel property is the Sugar Creek Inns and Suites, but it does not connect to the casino or even share the same physical address. It’s down the road four blocks, so it doesn’t count.

The casino floor of the property is home to over 700 Class II and Class III video poker, video keno and slot machine games ranging in denomination from pennies to five bucks a credit. The table games area features three live Blackjack tables with a schedule available on their website.

The Canyons Sports Grill is the first of the property’s eateries and features the type of menu one would expect from a lounge restaurant. Triple 7’s Deli is your quick stop for subs, sandwiches and burgers. Simple Simon’s Pizza does what it says on the box.

Entertainment can sometimes be found at the event center and New bitcoin casino sites uk no deposit bonus Showtime stage in the form of regional and legacy national acts, please see their website for upcoming events.

TeePee Casino

TeePee Casino is basically a small slots parlor that is located in Yale, Oklahoma. It also has a smoke shop. It has between 30-40 machines and is owned and operated by the Pawnee Nation.

Texoma Casino

The Texoma Casino is located in Kingston, Oklahoma and is another property owned and operated by the Chickasaw Nation. The gambling area spans about 8,8000 square feet of space and consists of a combined 370 Class II and Class III slot, video poker and video keno devices.

In addition to that, the property is home to a convenience store as well as a smoke shop, which seems to be a recurring theme amongst some of these smaller casinos in Oklahoma. There is also a bar and some Mega Frenzy Bingo terminals.

Thunderbird Casino

Thunderbird Casino is located in Norman, Oklahoma and is owned and operated by the Absentee Shawnee Tribe of Oklahoma. Another location for Thunderbird Casino is that of Shawnee.

Norman- The Norman casino features table games including Blackjack, Free Bet Blackjack and Ultimate Texas Hold ‘Em. This casino also features live karaoke on most Thursdays and Fridays as well as live bands on Saturdays.

We were able to call and find out that the property has a combined 550, or so, Class II and Class III video poker, video keno and slots games in addition to the table games.

Shawnee-This casino is a bit smaller than the Norman location, but features a combined 300 Class II and Class III video poker, video keno and slot machines based on our phone call. In addition, this property has a couple of tables and spreads Blackjack and Ultimate Texas Hold Em. Denominations on the machines range from pennies to ten spots per credit.

Tishomingo Tobacco and Gaming

Located in Tishomingo, Oklahoma, Tishomingo Tobacco and Gaming is owned and operated by the Chickasaw Nation of Oklahoma. We wanted to call for a machine count, but the number provided on their website doesn’t work.

Tonkawa Hotel and Casino

The Tonkawa Hotel and Casino is located in Tonkawa, Oklahoma and is owned and operated by the Tonkawa Tribe. They also have a separate and smaller property called the Tonkawa Casino West which we will address shortly.

The property’s hotel consists of 66 rooms and incorporates four different room types. Amenities for all guests include in-room Keurig coffeemakers as well as wireless internet and an outdoor pool. You can not book online directly through their website and instead must call if you wish to reserve one of the rooms at this property.

The casino floor features a combined 500 Class II and Class III video poker, video keno and slot machines. Denominations for the electronic games range all the way from pennies to ten spots, so pretty standard fare for an Oklahoma casino of this size.

Table games include Three-Card Poker, Blackjack and Ultimate Texas Hold ‘Em. CRaps and Roulette tables are also available daily after 4:00p.m.

The nicely appointed Buffalo Grill and Lounge is the property’s casual American style eatery that is also super friendly when it comes to your wallet. In addition to the hotel, the property is also home to an RV Park.

Overall, this is just a laid back little casino that is mainly propped up by locals, but it certainly seems like a peaceful and relaxing place to spend a night if you happen to be passing through the area.

Tonkawa Casino West

The Tonkawa Casino West is just a little locals parlor also located in Tonkawa that offers 46 machines.

Treasure Valley Casino and Hotel

The Treasure Valley Hotel and Casino located in Davis, Oklahoma is owned and operated by the Chickasaw Nation of Oklahoma. The modest sized hotel has a total of 58 guestrooms with amenities including free high-speed internet, a heated indoor pool and a fitness facility. The rates are reasonable and there are no resort fees, better still, there aren’t even any taxes!

The gaming floor consists of 20,000 square feet of space and includes a total of 400 combined Class II and Class III video poker, video keno and slot machines. Additionally, the property has three table games choices consisting of Blackjack, Ultimate Texas Hold ‘Em and Three Card Poker.

The Cove Sports Bar features casual American Grub and is located inside of the casino. An IHOP Express chain breakfast restaurant is located inside of the hotel area.

Overall, Treasure Valley seems like a great place to stay if you are looking for a relaxing overnight place to hang out and sleep as you are passing through the area. Aside from that, it is basically going to be a place geared towards locals.

Washita Casino

The Washita Casino is another casino property owned and operated by the Chickasaw Nation of Oklahoma and is located in a little place called Paoli. In addition to the travel stop, this location features a Traditions Bar and a combined 250 Class II and Class III video keno, video poker and slots machines.

In addition to these offerings, players can also participate in the statewide Mega Frenzy Bingo via the terminals for same.

Wewoka Trading Post

The WeWoka Trading Post is owned and operated by the Seminole Nation of Oklahoma and is located in WeWoka.

WinStar World

THE BIG ONE.

Before we get into WinStar World Casino, we want to emphasize that there are quite a few gas stations that have machines and travel stations that may not appear in these listings. We tried to keep listings to places that had at least forty machines, though we did list a few with fewer and maybe missed a few with right around that number. In any event, we wanted the listings to be comprehensive, but not to the point of complete absurdity.

If you are the owner of a location, or affiliated with the tribe of a location and do not see one of your locations listed here that you would like to have appear, please send us an E-Mail and we would be more than happy to correct the oversight as quickly as possible.

And, now, WinStar World:

The WinStar World Casino and Resort is a monolithic casino property that is located in Thackerville, Oklahoma, which is down near the state line for both that state and Texas. This, one of the largest casinos in the entire world by just about any measure, is owned and operated by the Chickasaw Nation of Oklahoma.

Are you ready for the square footage of the casino floor?

Six. Hundred. Thousand. Square. Feet.

You’ve got it, folks. In rural Oklahoma not Las Vegas, not Atlantic City, not Macau, you will find the largest gambling floor real estate of any casino in the entire world. I know that it seems positively ridiculous for this to be the case, but it certainly is the case. Honestly, I think it’s a pretty amazing fact, as well.

There are three separate hotel towers as well as a smaller hotel establishment that is simply known as, “The Inn.” Between these four hotel locations, you will find a combined 1,495 guestrooms and suites. That’s right, no joke, one property in Oklahoma has just shy of 1,500 hotel rooms. There are entire villages and towns in the state that could stay in the rooms at WinStar without even coming close to filling them up.

The property is also home to a global event center which has brought in major acts from around the country as it seats 3,500 souls. When we say, “Major acts,” we don’t mean, “Major casino acts,” like a band that had a few hits in the early 90’s we mean nationally relevant today. Naturally, of course, these events (with many performers who appear in Las Vegas shortly before or after) can fetch some pretty hefty ticket prices.

The casino wasn’t even originally intended to be as large as it is. The initial property that would open in 2004 was called Winstar Casinos and the Casino Tower, which currently features 395 of the property’s hotel rooms, only boasted that many after a major expansion. That expansion was completed in 2009. The 2013 expansion was the one that would see the two-part 1,000 room hotel dual tower open up which, along with expansions to the casino floor, would eventually cause the property to eclipse Foxwoods Casino (Connecticut) as the largest casino in the world.

We don’t know if you’ve ever been to Foxwoods, but I certainly have, and it’s pretty damn big.

Through all of this amazing expansion, WinStar never forgot its roots as a Tribal Casino in the Midwest, Middle-of-Nowhere, USA to this day, there remains a 200 space RV Park on the property. You can still pull it up and hook it up, just like you could the day the tape was cut on the much smaller initial project.

You want to talk your American success stories, folks, there you go. We imagine having no bureaucratic red tape to deal with by way of State of Oklahoma getting involved was certainly helpful. Give them the resources and let them do whatever they want, and they’ll build you a masterpiece.

In addition to the hotel towers and the casino, the property is also home to two excellent golf courses that are kept in positively immaculate shape. As if it’s not enough to say that you have been to the largest casino in the entire world, you can try two excellent rounds of golf at perfectly unique courses, as well.

Guests of the property will also enjoy two of the largest outdoor swimming pools that they have ever seen. You would be so amazed by the size and scope as well as the incomparable aesthetic appeal of these gems that you’ll forget you’re in Oklahoma. I don’t know where you will think you are, but Oklahoma is not it.

The casino never stops and neither does the room service, WinStar is one of the only properties I have ever heard of at which room service is available 24 hours per day. The showers are all, rainfall shower heads with complete glass sliding shower doors. Given the surrounding environment, almost regardless of what room you’re in, you’ll have an excellent view. Kids in tow? Don’t worry, rollaway beds and cribs never have a charge. The hotel features complimentary wireless internet. There are also complimentary coffeemakers and complimentary chocolates on your pillow.

How much does it cost to stay at one of the hotels at the largest casino in the world? $500 minimum? $600? Why no, dear reader who I appreciate letting me put a question in your mouth, weekday rates during the off-season are as low as ninety-nine bucks.

And, as I gush on and on about this property I discover that they have a $10 nightly resort fee. Oh well. That’s a shame.

The casino floor(s), different areas are called different things, is home to over 8,500 combined Class II and Class III video poker, video keno and slot machine games. Maybe you wouldn,’t be inclined to take the 87 cumulative years required to list every single one of these games, but somebody did, because there is a Game Finder widget on their website that allows you to search for every single game in the entire place based on type, denomination or location. That’s awesome. They have plenty of games that I would like to play and I’m sure that’s true for you too.

The nine gaming, “Plazas,” as they call them each have a different and unique them defined by the spot of the world they are based on. Beijing Gaming Plaza is Far Eastern/Oriental in design. Naturally, this is going to consist of a table games pit and is also home to one of the restaurants, a Mongolian Grill.

The Cairo Gaming Plaza, sure enough, is designed appropriate to the name and features a number of desert and Egypt themed machines. The Palladium Sports Lounge is also located here. Not that it really fits, but a Panda Express is also in this plaza.

The London Gaming Plaza features a number of slot machines, but most importantly, is the big video poker area so you can, as they say, “Win like the Royals!” That’s pretty good. Table games in this section include Blackjack, Roulette and Craps The two eateries are the Gran Via Buffet as well as Chips and Ales, an English style pub!

The Madrid Gaming Plaza is spanish themed, but it does not seem to have Spanish 21, at least, that is not mentioned. You can also access Gran Via Buffet from here and additional venues include IHOP Express and Matadors Pizzeria.

The New York Gaming Plaza is all about America, with some of the more patriotic themed machines available at this venue. In terms of restaurants, you have NYC Burgers and Dogs, Skyline Lounge (casual) and Dairy Queen/Orange Julius if you want something really quick.

There’s also the Paris Gaming Plaza which probably features some appropriate machine titles. If Roulette is found here, it’s not listed. How can you have Paris without Roulette!? I guess the themes are more aesthetic than they are to do strictly with the game and restaurant offerings, but Roulette should still be a no-brainer here. Eateries include Vino’s Italian Kitchen, because what’s more French than Italy? Le Paris Bakery and Cafe is located in this plaza. There is a way into Toby Keith’s I Love This Bar and Grill and finally, an El Fenix Mexican Restaurant. What’s more French than Mexican food? Wine, cheese, baguettes, perhaps ?

The Rio Plaza is an entirely non-smoking plaza that features the Red River Cafe. The gaming offerings are mostly machines and one has got to believe that Dancing in Rio is amongst them.

The Rome Gaming Plaza is the “Empire of Winning,” but doesn’t exactly fit aesthetically relative to the name and seems to consist mostly of just machines with no eateries listed.

The Vienna Gaming Plaza has a bunch of everything gaming-wise and also enters into Toby Keith’s I Love This Bar and Grill as well as Palladium Sports Lounge.

The poker room consists of 55 tables and features some of the biggest tournaments to be found in the country. The poker room is located close to the Rio Plaza, which certainly seems fitting enough and obviously has any number of promotions and tournaments throughout the year with a full schedule of same appearing on their website. Featured live games are No Limit Texas Hold ‘Em, Limit Texas Hold ‘Em and Omaha.

There are around 100 gaming tables at this property and games, spread across the different plazas as well as high limit rooms, include Blackjack, Craps, Roulette, Mini Baccarat, EZ Baccarat, Dai Baccarat, Three Card Poker, Jackpot Hold ‘Em, Criss Cross Poker, Blackjack Match, Ultimate Texas Hold ‘Em and Mississippi Stud. That’s pretty comprehensive of what’s popular now, but I must admit it’s a little disappointing to see no Let it Ride or Pai Gow Poker on the largest casino floor in the world.

Eateries that are not located right off the plazas and have not been mentioned yet are Kirby’s Prime Steakhouse and Mickey Mantle’s Steakhouse, which are both fine dining establishments with reservations very much required.

Casual restaurants include the Gran Via Buffet, which in conjunction with the plaza themes of the casino, features foods from all over the world. Khan’s Fire Mongolian Grill is a Mongolian Grill located in the Asian section in case we didn’t use the full and proper name earlier. There’s an upscale casual Legends Grill which is located at the WinStar Golf Club.

There you have it, WinStar, the largest casino anywhere in the world. Table game selection is admittedly just slightly underwhelming, but still, it’s the largest casino in the entire world. If that’s not going to impress, then I don’t know what is. The only downside is that there is obvious not a ton of other casinos around it like your Las Vegas or Atlantic City.

Even with all that, though, you could spend a week’s vacation just at this property, easily, and it wouldn’t even be ridiculously unaffordable as long as you kept your gambling in check a bit. Looking at some of these weekday rates, I’ve paid more to stay in an Econo Lodge when it’s basically the only game in town, which this place is, but it charges prices to get people in the door and visiting.

As if an afterthought, they also have a live bingo center as well as are linked to the state’s progressive bingo that is shared among the participating tribal casinos, Mega Frenzy Bingo.

Anyway, we can’t recommend this place enough, but that’s not to take away from a few of the other excellent weekend destination properties that we mentioned above. Those might even be more suited for you if a place that is basically an entire small city in a building is going to be a little bit much. It’s just the sort of place that, if you’re a serious gambler, you owe it to yourself to go see at least once. Who doesn’t want to say that they’ve been to the biggest casino in the world?

Slot Machine Ownership

If you live in Oklahoma you can own antique slot machines that are at least 25 years old.

Conclusion And Prognosis

For anyone wondering why the State of Oklahoma is not particularly interested in having legalized and regulated commercial casino offerings, the list of the Tribal Casinos in the State of Oklahoma should be your answer to the question.

When you look at them in totality, they have almost everything already. All of them have Class II and Class III gaming devices, because some people actually prefer the titles and gameplay of the electronic bingo machines. It’s important to understand that some of these games actually gained huge followings in the state before Class III gaming was ever authorized by the State’s compact with the tribes.

Beyond that, a good many of the casinos have table games, although, it’s fair to say that most of the casinos do not have a wide variety of choices in this regard.

If that’s not what you’re looking for, the state has a decent horse racing industry as well as a good number of off-track betting locations, some of which are in the casinos. Many of the Tribal Casinos are also home to poker rooms and live Bingo.

As far as sports betting goes, we assume that the State of Oklahoma would have to specifically give permission on that and that such activity would constitute Class III gaming. The thing to keep in mind about non-exotic (such as parlays) sports bets is that they actually carry a relatively low house edge, so 6% would be a very serious slice of revenue for many of these casinos. More than that, many of them are so small (or so full) that they wouldn’t really have anywhere that they would be able to put a sportsbook without getting rid of some of the machines which are the real draw.

One question that I was asked is why would any of the Tribal Casinos offer Class III (Vegas-style, random number generator based) slot machines when they have to pay a 6% tax on revenues on those whereas they don’t have to pay anything on Class II machine revenues. The answer to that question is actually really simple: They want to draw customers from other states, many of which did not have legalized gambling in many forms at the time that they initial Tribal Compacts would have allowed for live bingo and electronic bingo.

And, while the State of Oklahoma will never be Las Vegas or Atlantic City (the bigger properties are too spread out, for one thing) the fact of the matter is that not only are the casino game offerings competitive, but also that some of these Tribal Casinos in Oklahoma are legitimate destination casinos that can stand toe-to-toe with most of the ones that you would find even in the major casino destination cities. Certainly in terms of their gaming offerings, they can.

The next answer to the question is because the new Tribal Compact between the State of Oklahoma and the tribes is an awesome and mutually beneficial deal. The State of Oklahoma gets a 6% revenue cut for giving the tribes exclusivity and they don’t have to worry about legalization of things or setting up a gaming department. They can essentially just sit back and let the revenue stream come in. Comparatively, other than a few specific regulations laid out in the compact, the Tribes can manage their Oklahoma locations in whatever way they want to.

All told, it’s really a great deal for both parties and the State of Oklahoma should be commended for taking such a small slice. Other states that have legalized and regulated commercial gambling take such a huge cut of revenues that it should be no surprise most of the games absolutely suck in terms of return to player. Oklahoma casinos could offer great games if they want to, or if the competition demands it.

The casinos are also already right-sized for the slice of the market that they are hoping to attract, in most cases. Most of these properties base their sizes, scopes and offerings around how many people they think they can get in the door which, for the smaller casinos, you have a pretty good idea of ahead of time since it’s mostly locals. The tribes also compete with one another, to a certain extent, but that competition is much better than some state agency that picks winners and losers in terms of who it wants to give casino licenses.

Because of that, it would be tough for a major commercial casino, and perhaps even a smaller one, to find a place in any of the local or regional markets within the state. They would mainly be competing against locations that have already been established. Also, any such authorization would violate the exclusivity clause that leads to the state getting 6% of Class III gaming revenues and that would be terrible news for the state. Essentially, many Commercial Casinos would have to be ready to all open at one time for the state to make that up.

Another thing that should be considered is that it is this same freedom that leads to the State of Oklahoma being one of the best served states when it comes to casinos. No matter where you are in the state, you’re probably close to a casino. There are any number of states with legalized commercial casinos that can’t say that for the bulk of their residents. For those people who do not like casinos, that problem is more than covered by way of the Charitable Bingo options as well as I guess the lottery.

Some of these casinos also amount to slots parlors, which is one of my principle complaints with most states that authorize a few casinos that some of the residents aren’t even close to. I’m not necessarily saying that making it easier and more convenient for people to gamble is either good or bad but what I am saying is that it is good for state revenues, and Oklahoma is no exception.

In terms of full online commercial casino gambling, we don’t expect the status quo of there not being any to change anytime soon. For one thing, it would probably technically interfere with the exclusivity compact that the tribes have as relates Class III gambling. The tribes probably aren’t going to do it because most of them are not affiliated with any agencies that already have an online presence, and besides, it would be the death (possibly) of some of the smaller and out of the way places that count on their local regulars to keep them going.

From a freedom standpoint, I would obviously be a fan of online gambling coming into the state, but I definitely see where some of the smaller Tribal Casinos might end up closed just by way of losing a handful of customers to online. Beyond that, for people just acting as players (and not operators) nobody is going to do anything about it if you’re gambling at overseas casinos from your own home anyway.

In short, there is a status quo and you should not expect it to change because, in this writer’s opinion, the status quo in Oklahoma is pretty friggin’ awesome and states with state legalized and regulated commercial casinos (barring maybe Nevada and Montana) should be so lucky. Nevada has and should always have it best, of course.
